What is Skills Assured?Skills Assured is a skills and competence management system. It can be securely hosted in house or centrally with an external provider. Once populated, the system will contain a repository of employee training records, qualifications and competence assessments administered by organisations from a simple interface.
Available to employers and employees it is an essential tool to manage skills and capability and help identify skills shortages.
Did you know?Skills Assured can be customised for access from all devices that connect to the internet, including tablets and mobile phones should this service be required.

Competence Framework
The system is set up to enable the management of competencies. A master framework can be created to host sector wide and/or organisation specific competencies.
The system enables the creation of competence into three distinct areas, for example - Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours.
Competence development support can be provided as part of system implementation.
Once the framework is customised with your competencies, drilling down through the segments in a chosen discipline area allows the user to display the definition of a particular competence and the level descriptors.
Skills Assured recognises not all organisations are the same and they system has been designed to allow complete flexibility and the ability to create and customise frameworks by adding organisational or sector specific competencies.

The workflow for each assessment can be specified and participants receive system alerts and emails when there is an assessment to take or review.
Specifying competencies for job roles and tasks can support the recruitment process and internal HR functions.

Using a competence framework, organisations can create assessments for Job Roles and/or Tasks specific to their business.
The Skills Passport element of Skills Assured provides a complete repository of an individual’s competence assessments, training records and qualifications.
It can be accessed by the individual and managed for them by nominated personnel in their organisation.
Skills Passports are updated in real time, providing organisations with immediate access to accurate records of their skilled individuals.
A Skills Passport also provides the individual with an Evidence Book to store any file uploads supporting a particular qualification or competence statement in one place, which are easily accessible to view and/or download.

The Resource Explorer allows users with the appropriate permissions to search their organisation against multiple criteria to identify the individuals who meet a required level of competence and skills.

It allows a team to be created for a particular project or bid and an organisation can choose to share this team capability with other teams and/or organisations, applying very specific permissions and visibility rules and controls.

Search for sector specific trainingSkills Assured has the added functionality of the inclusion of a Training Directory, which can be used to record training providers and provision available in the sector and/or your organisational supplier list.
The Training Directory is easy to use and offers a variety of search options, including direct links to the providers website, prospectus and course information.
