COMMUNITY CHURCH AT SUN VILLAGE
IN ACTION – A WARM WELCOME
It is our privilege to worship the Lord
our God freely without intimidation or
fear of opposition. The psalmist
exhorts, “Come, let us sing to the
Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the
Rock of our salvation. Let us come
before His presence with
thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to
Him with psalms…Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let
us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, and
we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand.”
Let us, therefore, enter into the worship service in a spirit of
reverence, giving honor to Almighty God. It is our hope that
each of us here today will experience a very meaningful time of
worship and that your Christian life will be enriched by having
joined with us today.
If you are a visitor with us today, we welcome you and pray
that you will receive a blessing from being here.
USHERS AND GREETERS
The ushers and greeters for this month are Sam and Terrie
Hults. Thank you for your service to the Lord today. Please
volunteer to help usher during our services. There is a signup
sheet on the back table or talk to Sam Hults.

COMMUNITY CHURCH AT SUN VILLAGE
ON OUR KNEES
Pray for our home-bound members that they will be
encouraged as they look to God for His blessings.
Missions – Krakow, Poland
Jon and Karen Glass have returned to their missionary field in
Krakow, Poland after a brief home assignment in the United
States.
Pray for them as they make the adjustment back to the ministry
responsibilities at “Immanuel Baptist Church.” Jon has begun
a satellite ministry in a neighboring community, which has
enabled Immanuel Baptist to have an effective outreach, taking
the gospel message to other areas of the city.
The work is sometimes discouraging as the challenges center
around training and developing leadership to take on the
ministry of the church and there are only a few within the
congregation who aspire to any form of leadership.
As always, Jon and Karen say thank you so much for your
support and prayers. We are blessed to have such wonderful
partners!
Persecuted Church – Pakistan
Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs
Khalil Tahir Sandhu has said the Punjab government will
ensure security of churches and worship places throughout the
province during midnight mass of December 24 and 25 on
Christmas and intervening night between December 31 and
January 1 (New Year night) to prevent any untoward incident.
In a meeting on Tuesday, the minister said the directive in this
regard has been issued to all regional police officers, CPOs and
DPOs in Punjab along with Capital City Police Officer Lahore
by the chief minister’s office. Khalil Tahir said the Punjab
government has also released Christmas grants worth Rs 30
million which will be disbursed among the deserving Christian
families (Rs 5,000/- per family) throughout the province by
respective District Coordination Officers according to the
criteria devised in this regard.
The salaries of Christian government employees have been
paid from December 20 so as to enable them to participate in
the celebrations of forthcoming Christmas. It has also been
decided to set up “Christmas Bazaars” in different locations of
the province from December 22 so that Christian community
can purchase commodities at comparatively cheaper rates.
Khalil Tahir directed the officers concerned to ensure foolproof
security arrangements for Christmas Bazaars along with
provision of related facilities to the consumers.
Pray that the Christians in Pakistan have a safe Christmas.
