A seminar on Preparing a Powerful Resume by Dr. V. Priyadarshini, School of
Management was organized for the Final year Mechatronics Engineering Students. The
main objective of the session was to make the students understand the purpose of creating
an effective resume and on preparing oneself to attain success.

Dr. N Susila, Head of the department convened a meeting with all the final year tutors and
advisors along with the department placement coordinator and the following points were
discussed:
The tutors were asked to motivate the students to get well prepared for the placement
drive in all means.
Emphasized to motivate the arrear students to pass in all the backlogs subject since
most of the companies are opting for “no standing arrear” criteria.

Two days FDP on Intelligent Agents and its applications was organized for the faculty jointly
by the department of CSE & IT. Day 2 was handled by Mr.Gokul Rajagopal
Associate/Senior Automation Developer, CTS, Coimbatore. The speaker enlightened on
Evolution of digitization, scope of agents used for automation, Industry 4.0 and IOT. The
speaker also detailed on classification of automation, industry perspectives on Automation
Tools, Cognitive Automation Tools and Chatbots.

Dr.K.Lakshmi, Head of the Department had an interaction with the pre-final year students on
Boot Camp Assessment and encouraged them to attend the placement trainings sincerely
and also conveyed her wishes for their future endeavors.
Our Principal Madam Dr.J.Janet appreciated A. Surya Prakash of Third year ECE who has
successfully completed a National level course in Python Programming conducted by
Livewire, Coimbatore.

Mr. Saravana Kumar from GATE Forum addressed the Second year ECE students on
GATE preparation and coaching. He discussed the importance of preparing for GATE
exam and its benefits in the higher education and employment in Core and Central
Government.

Faculties of SKCET are attending Train the Trainer program powered by TCS at ISI, Kolkata.
Dr. S. Balakrishnan HoD/CSBS attended today‟s session on Computer Architecture.
Prof. G. Ignisha Rajathi /CSE attended today‟s session on Formal Languages and
Automata Theory. She presented a seminar on the topic „Parse Trees, Ambiguous
Grammar and Reducing Ambiguity‟.
Prof.A.Priya of CSE attended today‟s session on Computational Statistics. Also, she has
presented a demo session on the topic on „Implementation of Principal Component Analysis
using PYTHON‟.

2. Encourage the student to attend TCS code vita, InfyTQ, Cognizant code contest
3. Monitoring hour wise attendance.
4. Initiatives taken against late comers.
5. Encouraged faculty members to submit research proposals for various funding agencies.

Ms.Reshma J R completed her Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication
Engineering from SKCET in 2018.She was an outstanding student during her course of study
as she brought many laurels to SKCET by winning many project contests and paper
publications.
She is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Automation and Control from National
University of Singapore which is ranked the number one university in Asia and the 11th in
the QS world rankings.
Her area of study includes automating the manual tasks which are challenging and industry
related.
She is immensely grateful to SKCET for motivating her interest towards pursuing higher
education. We wish her a successful study period!
