  • Christmas 2014 Emmanuel – God is with us

Hymn 165 Go tell it on the mountain

    Christmas Story: Deme

    Twinkle Twinkle: Nataliya

    Traditional Poem Bridget

Song: No Room at the Inn (all)

    No room at the inn!

All reservations were made in the spring.

We’re full to the brim, sorry we can’t let you in.

    No room at the inn!

We’re fully booked & the party’s in swing.

Please, pardon the din! Sorry we can’t let you in.

    CHORUS : Mary, Joseph,

Tell me what you’re gonna do?

    There is no way

You’ll be getting bed and breakfast for two!

    No room at the inn!

I’d say your chances are probably slim.

We’ve not got a thing, sorry we can’t let you in.

    No room at the inn!

Just look at the state that you’re in!

Say, where have you been? Sorry we can’t let you in.

    CHORUS

    No room at the inn!

Everyone’s saying the very same thing.

We’d take anything, please somebody let us in.

    INSTRUMENTAL

    We’ve room at the inn.

It wouldn’t exactly be fit for a king!

Here, give me your things, hope you don’t mind mucking in!

  • Jesus is the reason Lydia & family (see sheet)

Song: A Christmas Calypso (all) Let me tell you about a baby and his family,

It is written down in the Bible so that you might believe.

Many men had told of his coming down through history,

Now the time had come for fulfilment of their

    prophecy,

CHORUS: And they called his name Jesus,

    Jesus, the Saviour.

And they called his name Jesus,

Son of Most High God. (Repeat)

There was once a young girl called Mary, only in her teens.

She was visited by an angel sent to Galilee.

And he told her she’d have a baby – how, she couldn’t see-

Yet it was her will to obey him, so it was agreed.

    CHORUS

Well in those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree,

And so Mary went with her husband where they had to be,

There was nowhere else but a stable where they both could sleep,

It was there that she had her baby, born for you and me.

    CHORUS

A Christmas Lesson: Tina & Josh

  • Song: Ding Dong (All)

    CHORUS

Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong!

    The festive bells now chime.

Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong!

    To tell it’s Christmas time.

The angels sing, their anthems ring,

    Good news to all mankind!

Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong!

    Good news to all mankind!

    CHORUS

Now Christ is born, God’s gift to all,

    To bring us love divine.

Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong!

    To bring us love divine.

    CHORUS

God’s only Son, the Holy One,

    Is reigning now on high.

Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong!

    He’s reigning now on high.

    CHORUS

So come along with joyful song,

    Let glory fill the sky!

Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong!

    Let glory fill the sky!

    CHORUS

Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong!

    DING DONG!

  • Nativity Eucharist Poems

Jesus is the reason Lydia & family

In Bethlehem, God gave to us

    The source of Christmas joy;

A star shown on a miracle:

The virgin birth of a boy.

He was born both God and man,

    A Saviour for us all,

The way to get to our heavenly home,

If we just heed his call.

So as we shop and spend and wrap

    And enjoy the Christmas season,

Let’s keep in mind the sacred truth:

    Jesus is the reason.

Matthew 1:23 Emmanuel: God with us Ghivan family

    In answer to our searching

And our fear of being alone,

    God entered human history

In the person of his Son.

The Word that brought the world to be

    Was heard in Galilee,

The voice that said,”Let there be light”

    Cried out on Calvary.

The feet that danced when time began

Now walked in dust and blood.

The hand that formed the galaxies

Was nailed to a cross of wood.

For God said, “I am with you.I came in flesh and bone

To show you that I love you

    And you’ll never be alone.”

The lighting of the candles at the front of the church marks

the start of our preparation for worship. Please spend a few

quiet moments with God in preparation for the service.
