A Roaring 20’s Night OutMarch 7, 2020 at the Odd Fellows Hall
Get a wiggle on! Don't you hear that 20’s trumpet? It's time to get dolled up to join those bright young things and dance the night away.
The Canadian College of Performing Arts is hosting CLUB 2020: a roaring 20’s themed fundraiser! The giggle water will be flowing at Victoria's Odd Fellows Hall for one night only, Saturday, March 7th.
So dust off your Charleston and shine those shoes. There’s no Prohibition here folks.
It's going to be the bee's knees kids!
What is CLUB 2020?
Upon arrival at the Odd Fellows Hall for this exclusive event, guests will be whisked upstairs where the décor comes to life as guests travel back in time and make their way through a tableau of flappers and gangsters turning back the clock with music and movement.
Give the Bruno a wink and a nod and be shown through a side door to the “Gin Mill Hall” for dancing, live entertainment, a silent auction and great eats! Wet your whistle with a Sidecar or a Gin Rickey at “Bootlegger’s Prohibition Bar” and test your luck at the tables in “Capone’s”. If Poker’s not your thing there’s always Billiards at “Bugsy’s”.
Why you should join the Club…
"What A great evening of music food and fun!! The Canadian College of Performing Arts is a melting pot for all that is right in the world in its nurturing and celebration of the arts. I felt privileged to hear some amazing talent on this evening - it both inspired me and reassured me that the new generation of music makers are well on their way to making their mark in the world. I went home that night feeling very proud!!! Congrats to everyone involved for an unforgettable night.“

About The Canadian College of Performing Arts
OUR PROGRAMS
Since 1998 CCPA has graduated over 1000 students and brought hundreds of artists together in collaboration. The College is one of the most uniquely focused conservatory style training programs in western Canada having seen incredible growth from its original one year certificate program, which soon doubled to then add a second year program. Our premiere third year Studio Ensemble was added a few years afterwards, and the college began university affiliations for transferring to full degree programs. Having an institution like CCPA in Victoria, national in its scope and ambition, is a rare gateway for emerging Canadian artists, and a chance for this community to intersect with the country, develop national relationships and to expand horizons for all Canadians.
CCPA COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES
CCPA partners with local organizations like the Pro-Patria Legion, Mount St. Mary’s Hospital, Luther Court, the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island and the Victoria Foundation to provide the community with meaningful and engaging arts programing. CCPA offers a Remembrance Day Tribute, Christmas Caroling, and workshops throughout Greater Victoria and engages local seniors in a volunteer program. CCPA introduced “Relaxed Performances” in 2018 which are for everyone but specifically designed for those with Autism Spectrum Disorders or physical or cognitive challenges that may find the traditional theatre experience challenging. We want to do everything possible to make theatre accessible to all.
Please help us to continue offering the highest level of quality performing arts training and ensure our programs remain accessible, affordable and that we provide Victoria with the highest caliber of artistic performances.
The College gratefully acknowledges the Lekwungen-speaking peoples, also known as the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations, on whose traditional territory we learn, create, and perform.
