Conference Agenda Day 1

Dear Attendees,

As we meet again in Abu Dhabi, welcoming many new leading lights to join in our debate, we look forward to going live with an inspiring edition of the Sustainability Summit. Over the two days of conference sessions we will bring to life a new format of the world’s first community-driven, global initiative, aggregating the visions of those who can and want to drive change within our global society and economies top-down, in light of sustainable development.

Governments and organizations seek the means to modernize their approach to decisions and resource management by planning on the basis of real information and statistics rather than opinions. This extends to the economic development and social inclusion programs necessary to create the basis for stability and real wealth.

In both public and private sectors, policies and technologies concur to improve the operation of supply chains, reduce crime, optimize labor, facilitate trade and travel, increase urban security and mobility and support services that work. In this context, decision makers, industry leaders and international organizations worldwide increasingly leverage big data, modern ICT instruments and digital identities to achieve their goals.

The Sustainability Summit 2014 will allow us to get connected with today’s thought leaders and define a roadmap for sustainable development across our metropolises, industries, organizations and countries. The intent is to share our experiences and understanding of what can support all stakeholders’ efforts as we design and deploy today’s masterplans and infrastructures.

You are warmly invited to join us in Abu Dhabi and contribute to the vision that will drive development of our societies and economies.

Sophie B. de la Giroday President, Wise Media Host of the Summit

www.sustainability2015.com, www.summit2020.com [email protected] at

As a world-class thought leadership symposium, the Sustainability Summit brings together senior government representatives and leaders from international organizations with policy makers and industry leaders from the EMEA region. The plenary session at the Abu Dhabi Summit opens investigations and debate with key statements focusing on today’s concerns of national, regional and local importance. It sets the scene for two intensive days of exchange aimed at finding a common strategic platform to energize economic development, foster societal progress and encourage a more responsible leveraging of technology.

The Sustainability Summit looks at the strategies and programs implemented for development of our global society and economies. It focuses on resource management and modernization of infrastructures, supply chains and delivery models across nations, within urban and rural communities, as well as industries in the developed and developing worlds.
