A huge range of items can be acquired on the Saturday market, anything from freshly grown fruit and vegetables to watches, flowers, bags, fashion goods and sweets, remember to buy a spit-roasted chicken on your visit, dripping with fresh garlic and simply yummy. Or possibly get a traditional Spanish paella, which you can watch being prepared at the side of the road. The beaches are however where sun idolisers should head for whilst in the Playa Flamenca area . Almost all the bars, retail outlets and restaurants in Playa Flamenca are located either in the Flamenca Beach centre or Via Park I and II. Reaching the resort is straightforward, Alicante (El Altet) airport is 68 kilometres away and Murcia (San Javier) airport is 22 minutes away.
