WBEREAS, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Properties

Commission has made an investigation and report on the histori ,

architectural, educational, and cultural significance of the

WHEREAS, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Properties

Conunission has recommended that the City Council adopt an

ordinance designating the property described below as historic

property pursuant to Chapter 160A, Article 19, Part 3B, as

amended, of the General Statutes of North Carolina; and

WHEREAS, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Historic Properties

Commission has determined that the property described below

meets the criteria for designation because of special

significance in terms of its history, architectural, and/or

cultural importance, and because it possesses integrity of

design, setting, workmanship, materials, feeling and/or

association as required by N.C.G.S. 160A-399.4.
