Objectives of the event: (Outline of the event)
Show casing the student’s project to the industries was the main objective and thereby enhancing the project
quality as per the need of industry, with this in mind BVM had initiated the concept of Project poster
presentation and Project Expo (fair) in 7th
and 8th
semester of UG program of engineering.
IDP/UDP Committee was formed in 2012. The project expo 2017 is the fifth project expo fair of BVM
engineering college. The purpose of this event is to showcase the projects of all the final year BE students of
all the disciplines of the BVM engineering college. To achieve the activities carried out are showcasing
more than 200 Industry Defined Projects (IDP) and User Defined Projects (UDP) prepared by students from
all the departments of BVM Engineering College. The IDP/UDP is critically evaluated by industry and
academic experts giving positive feedback to improve quality and value. There were more than 25 industry
experts are invited from various industries to judge the projects and based on their evaluation select the best
three from each department.
To motivate the students and faculty members, project fair followed by Industry institute meet from 4:00 pm
onwards. The presence during meet from academic side is 133 and from industries side is 70. Almost 150 students
remained present and actively participated. 28 MOUs have been registered during the industry institute meet.

Outcomes of the event
The function has been a result of good hard work done by the Final Year Students who showed good
enthusiasm to display their projects, the neighboring industries who participated at the Industry Open
House, the third year volunteering students, who helped the faculties to organize the grand function, the
efforts of each faculty members in making their projects perform at their best. The function was fully video-
graphed, solely by the student volunteers. The function generated a high degree of excitement in the faculty
and students of the college, faculty and students of the neighboring colleges and amongst the industries of
Vitthal Udyognagar, and was a great success. The students are motivated by the prizes and certificates, the
first prize of project is 2000 Rs. second prize is 1500 Rs. and third prize is 1000 Rs. are given to all
department best 3 project groups.
Feedback from industry mentors/experts
Industry experts invited from various industries evaluated the project of the final year students. All the
experts appreciated the work done by the students. Experts motivated the students to convert their projects
into end product. Experts had given guidance to the students about their working model and suggested some
changes to make it more viable and useful for the society. All the experts selected best 3 Projects from all
departments based on their usefulness to the society and efforts students have done the projects for
innovations.
Feedback from final year teams Project Fair is organized by all the departments of BVM Engineering College on 30
th March, 2017. In first
phase we all had demonstrated our work in the form of poster presentation and in the second phase we had
represented our work in form of demonstration of running model in front of Internal and External panel of
Evaluator. It was an excellent experience to demonstrate work in front of Industrial expert and other review
panel. Their valuable suggestions have really remained very useful for us. We learned many things from
them.
Feedback from faculty members All the students had presented their work very effectively; some of the projects are really up to the
noticeable mark and can be converted to end product. Such kind of event motivates the students to learn by
self-experience and do some innovative work. All the activities have been organized in very nice manner.
The ideas are taking a shape in form of projects; some of the projects are very useful for the society. It is
really combination of theory and practical. Students can be inspired largely by such kind of activities and
need to organize every year.
Feedback from 3rd year students
We have observed the projects made by final year students in project fair organized by BVM Engineering
College on 30th
March 2017. There are many eye catching projects made by 4th
year Students. We have
gained a many ideas and it may be very useful for us in deciding projects in final year. We have also found
the way to make the ideas to be implemented. Some of the ideas can also be extended at larger scale.
