GENERAL INFORMATION
All pianists included in this register are members of
the “Accompanists’ Guild of N.S.W.”
All the information provided has been supplied by the
members themselves as of the start of 2012 and the
Guild accepts no responsibility for its accuracy.
All negotiations for accompanying services and fees
are to be mutually arranged between the accompanist
and the interested parties.
The Guild cannot dictate the fee for accompanists,
however a minimum fee of around $80 per hour for a
professional accompanist is considered an average
benchmark.
The Guild urges all members to make their fee clear
before undertaking any accompaniment work.
The Guild is not legally responsible for any work
taken on by its members.

INFORMATION FOR PROSPECTIVE
NEW MEMBERS.
It has been decided by the members of the
guild that in order to keep the high standard
of accompaniment that its members already
provide, new applicants wishing to join the
guild may be requested to do an audition
in front of a panel of volunteer members
from the guild. If an audition were required
it would occur towards the latter part of
the year, as the guild booklet is printed at
the start of each new year. The membership
fee is $40 per year.
