Dorothy Chia, author, trainer and pedagogue, holds a Masters in Piano Performance andPedagogy from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Dorothy teaches in her own privatepiano studio, and is an associate lecturer at the Singapore Institute of Management and TemasekPolytechnic. In the past, Dorothy has taught at Nafa, NTU, and Yamaha Academy. A memberof the Singapore Music Teachers Association, Dorothy specializes in coaching piano teachersand preparing students for higher level piano diploma exams. Dorothy is the resident organistat the Church of St. Vincent de Paul. She has appeared in charity piano recitals in collaborationwith ASME Women Entrepreneur Chapter in 2002. Dorothy is the 1992 winner of the D.H.Baldwin Fellowship awarded by the Baldwin Piano and Organ Company, USA.
