inserts backed by “check & balance” metrology.

• All optical tools, inserts, jigs & fixtures are fabricated in-house via our fully equipped tool room.

• Our team of toolmakers working in a “temperature controlled” facility ensures a 24/7 work cycle

dedicated to fast response and quick turn-around.

• Soft tools are produced in 1-1.5 week.

• Volume production tools within 2-4 weeks depending on complexity & cavitation

• Single Point Diamond Turning , “SPDT” refers to the

technology where an ultra-sharp diamond bit is used for

the machining of surfaces leading to a finishing of Ra <

5nm (mirror finishing) and form accuracy of <1.0um.

• This technology originated from military research carried

out in USA and is used in the manufacturing of ultra

precise optical inserts and components where extreme

accuracy is required.

• Moveon’s in-house SPDT capabilities ensures we have the

ability to deliver solutions cost effectively & within short

lead-times.

• By combining multiple lens design into a single “Family” soft tool, we are able to offer cost effective solutions for

product development.

• Being able to produce multiple lenses in a single tool allows concepts & designs to be tested under conditions close

to volume production while reducing investments. This gives our customers an edge over competition though

effective use of resources and reduced prototyping timeline.

• For small prototype volumes, it is also possible to machine directly on bulk plastics, allowing for extreme cost control

without jeopardising quality of design development.

• Optics with light blocking features are made possible by 2-shot molding or replication processes.

• Liquid Silicone Rubber lenses may also be co-molded with plastics resins to provide hard-soft materials

interaction.

• Optics with selective mirror finishing can also be produced via selective masking.
