Raider Summer Youth Boys Lacrosse Camp This summer Alpharetta High School Men’s Lacrosse will proudly host the 8th

Annual Raider Summer Youth Boys Lacrosse Camps – open to any student entering

their 1st - 5th grades and 6th - 9th grades within the Alpharetta School Cluster

during the 2013 – 2014 school year. This year we will host two camps, each

consisting of four day instructional sessions to be held in the mornings at the

Alpharetta High School Turf Field. Section 1 will run June 3-6 from 8am to 10am

and section 2 will run July 22-25 from 8am to 10am. Fees: $150.00 Registration

Summer Camps

"Imagine That” Has summer camps too!!! Imagine That Future Tech still has spaces available in our Techno-

Science class for grades K-5th for the Spring session. Your child will be

working on amazing Lego® Technology and Science projects including

Lego building and programming MINDSTORMS and We-Do robots, Model

Domes, Lasers, Lights, and Mirrors, and much more! If you're interested in

Summer Reading Skills Program This program is for rising Kindergartners – rising 11th graders and is available

CAMP 2013 Please join the Northview Titan Cheerleaders for their 11th

annual summer cheerleading camp for children ages 4 and

up that are interested in learning the techniques of

cheerleading.

9am-12:30pm

Each day drinks and a snack will be provided. Each camper

will receive a certificate of participation and a souvenir T-

It’s been a quiet week at school with CRCT testing going on but Math Superstar reward parties are being planned.

Landscapers are being met with to discuss fixing up the back of school. Yearbooks are coming soon. Publix Abbott’s

Crossing Spirit Night is quickly approaching on Thursday, April 18 from 4:30-7:00. They are our biggest sponsor please

come out and say thanks & have your kids so some math! Field day is being planned too, May 6th for k-2 and May 7th

for 3-5. We have some t-shirts left if you didn’t order at the beginning of the year. Can’t guarantee right color or size

though.

We are filling some positions for the board and still looking for the special someone to step up and help with Ways and

Means. It is one of the most important positions since it is where we raise $ to go directly to our students, teachers

and school. Without someone in charge we may not make the money we need to continue with all the programs we

A huge thank you to everyone who donated items for our 7th Gator

Giving day. The generous response is greatly appreciated by the Gator

Giving families. Special thanks go to the following individuals who

gave their time to help collect and sort the donated items : Roseanne

Harrison, Matthew Butcher, Diane Howard, Student Council Members:

Will Gerdes, Bryce Melton & Jackson Daichendt. The classrooms from

each hallway with most donated items were Ms Bloom, Ms Kindt

and Ms Batlle.

Gator Giving provides food and household supplies to families in need

at LWES. On the last Friday (mostly) of each month, students bring in

donated items which are sorted and distributed to the

families. Reminder flyers are sent home each month with a list of

suggested items. All donations are greatly appreciated. The fifth

Gator Giving will be on Friday April 19th 2013. Please can you send in

donations via your child on the morning of Gator Giving

before 8 am. Also, please check that any food donations have not

expired.

Now is a great time to use Earth Day as an opportunity to gather

"trash" from friends and families and turn it into cash for the

PTA. The PTA has a recycle collection box near the main office. We

collect used cell phones, laptops, inkjet/laser and toner cartridges,

iPODs, GPS, video games & consoles, digital cameras, PDAs and

DVDs year-round. No batteries, home phones, desktop computers or

scanners please.

I would like to begin by thanking all of you, parents, students, teachers

and all the staff at LWE for making this year a very successful year for

the BoxTops Program at LWE! Having completed our last deadline of

this school year with a total of $1,241.60 worth of Boxtops, our school

exceeded the year goal of $2,200 by earning an all-year total of

$2,556.59! This time we broke some records, Ms. Bolnick's class

collected 943 BoxTops and Ms. Pugh's class submitted 1000 BoxTops

winning 1st prize! Both these classes will receive a pizza party for their

participation. In addition, Ms. Palermo's, Ms. Howard's and Ms.

Hawkins' classes won 3rd, 4th and 5th place, respectively and each

class will be awarded a Popsicle Party. Individual winners will

participate of an ice cream social, more details will be announced

soon.
