Nucleus
A nucleus is like the CPU of a computer because, like the nucleus, the CPU controls everything the
computer does.
Cell Membrane
A cell membrane is like a USB port because, like the cell membrane, the USB port controls what devices
go into and out of the computer.
Cell Wall
A cell wall is the like the case of a computer because, like the cell wall, the case gives the
computer structure and support.
Endoplasmic Reticulum
The ER is like the cables of a computer because, like the ER, the cables send
information and supplies around.
Golgi Apparatus
The golgi apparatus is like the RAM of a computer because, like the golgi
apparatus, the RAM stores and runs processes, sending things to different
parts of the computer.
Mitochondrion
The mitochondrion is like the power supply of a computer because, like
the mitochondrion, the power supply converts and produces energy for the
computer.
Vacuole
The vacuole is like the hard drive of a computer because, like the vacuole, the hard drive stores memory, information, and other
files for later use.
Ribosome
The ribosome is like the cache of a computer because, like the ribosome, the
cache combines data together for the purpose of making information.
