2007 Enzymes U 1100 A Novel and Convenient Method for the Synthesis of Ubiquinone-10. — A novel and convenient synthetic approach to ubiquinone-10 (VII) is reported. The key step is the nucleophilic, copper-catalyzed displacement reaction between Grignard reagent (V) and the secondary allylic acetate (IV).
