BIOSAlex Crenshaw (Spot Operator): Alex is very excited to be a part of her fourth R2P show, although this is the first one where she has not been on stage! But that fact does not upset her at all – in fact, she is looking forward to gaining a new skill in the technical realm of theater. You may have seen her previously with R2P in: Singin' in the Rain (Ensemble), Wind in the Willows (Rat), or Anything Goes (Sailor). She will also be acting in R2P's next show, Oliver, in February (which you should come see!). In her (extremely minimal) spare time, Alex rides and cares for her three horses, takes Voice lessons, and goes Latin Dancing. Alex would like to thank her mother for transporting her to rehearsals and for simply being supportive and amazing. Enjoy the show!

Ally Mirin (Council Dancer) Ally is very excited to be in Hairspray, her 6th R2P show! Favorite roles with R2P include Duckling in Honk!, Mole in Wind in the Willows, and a member of the Tap corps in Thoroughly Modern Millie. She has also played Agwe in Once on

this Island with DeWitt Middle School, and was a member of the Children's Chorus in the Ithaca College opera, The Little Prince. Amelia Sturman (Ensemble) looks forward to performing in Hairspray, which will be her third show with R2P. She has performed in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as Gad, one the Joseph's bothers. Amelia also performed in Cinderella as a mouse. Amelia is home schooled and in 8th grade. When not performing, Amelia enjoys singing, playing with her four dogs, writing, and plotting world domination.

Austin Brecht (Corny Collins): Austin is a senior at Dryden High School and he is overjoyed to be a part of his second Running to Places production! Vanessa Anderson (Council Dancer): Vanessa is a sophomore at Ithaca High School and is thrilled to be back for her fourth r2p show! You may have seen her in Singin' in the Rain as Lina or prancing around as a munchkin in Ithaca High School's production of The Wiz. When not on stage, Vanessa enjoys snappin photos, making music, and hanging out with friends. She'd like to thank her friends, family, and her teapot for being so caring and supportive throughout this whole process! Enjoy the show!

He's also been in a slew of Lansing shows, with roles ranging from Skimbleshanks in "Cats" to Lazar Wolf in "Fiddler on the Roof" to a rock in "Into the Woods".Vasili would like to thank his parents and the rest of his family for their support, and the entire cast and crew. Enjoy the show!

Wynter LaTorre (Velma) is super excited for Hairspray!!! But is also sad because this is her last R2P show. :( Wynter is a senior at IHS and does very little besides musical theatre. She was most recently seen as Millie in R2Ps production of Thoroughly Modern Millie. Thanks to everyone who made this show possible! Enjoy the show!!!

RUNNING TO PLACES STAFFGail Belokur (Resident Producer and Co-Artistic Director) received her BA in Drama from Ithaca College and has worked professionally with young people in the performing arts in Upstate New York for over 20 years. Her wide range of credits include stage managing, producing, directing and designing (scenic, costume and lighting) for all 25 R2P shows plus dozens of other plays, musicals and dance recitals for middle and high school students. As founder and artistic director of New Vine Productions, Gail also taught acting workshops

and developed arts programs for theatre, dance, music and the visual arts before merging this endeavor into the launching of Running to Places. She is employed full time by the company.  Gail shares her home with husband George, daughter Shauna and son Michael with visits from daughter Kristen, son-in-law Justin and the most precious grandson of all time (so far), Dominick. Gail sends a special shout out to Resident Designer Tyler M. Perry, "Thanks for storytelling with us!"

Gregg Houck (Production Intern & Shop Manager): Gregg is enjoying his third season working with R2P and is thrilled to be joining the company this season on a more permanent basis as the company’s intern and shop manager. He has a wealth of experience in youth theatre, education, and recreation. He has performed, directed, designed, and served in many roles with the Candor and Trumansburg School Districts, Binghamton University’s Youth Musical Theatre Workshop, Broome and Tompkins-Cortland Community Colleges, FLCC, Camp Seneca Lake, and Candor Community Chorus. Be sure to catch the company’s next production, Oliver, at the Hangar Theatre where he’ll be joining the R2P designer team for the first time as the costume designer!

Joey Steinhagen (Resident Director and Co-Artistic Director) has been teaching, acting in, and directing theatre for young people throughout Tompkins County since 1993. He received his BFA in Acting from Ithaca College. Over the years, he has directed musicals and plays at Ithaca and Dryden High Schools, Dryden, Boynton, and Dewitt Middle Schools, for the Northern Lights Learning Center, and the Hangar Theatre’s Kiddstuff series. Joey has taught acting at Ithaca College, Cornell, SUNY Cortland, Hangar Theatre’s Next Generation program, and the Ithaca Youth Bureau. As an actor, Joey has appeared in many Mainstage and Family Fare shows at the Kitchen Theatre. He is proudest of his favorite production: Aram.

Linda Harris (Finance Manager) As an R2P parent she was, and continues to be, extremely inspired by the dedication of the founders of R2P. She has observed their positive influence on our sons and daughters and the enormous amount of personal time they give, all delivered with never ending enthusiasm and a smile. When R2P reached the goal of obtaining their non-profit status (no small feat in itself!) and needed to move forward to prepare to do business “officially” she gladly volunteered her services to help them set up shop. She brings with her, (in addition to her enthusiasm and excitement!), over twenty years of finance and administrative experience. More than ten of those years were in the non-profit sector such as The Chemical Dependencies Clinic of Otsego County and most recently, several years as the Finance Manager at the Cayuga Nature Center. Presently she is a Grant and Contract Officer for the College of Ag and Life Sciences at Cornell. She is looking forward to working with the rest of the R2P staff “behind the scenes”, (where Gail knows she is happiest!), and supporting their hard work and heartfelt efforts for our local youth.

Other engagements have included vocal coach & accompanist for Ithaca College’s Introduction to Music Theatre for High School students, and collaborative pianist for several Area-All State and All-County festivals throughout upstate New York. He has also worked as a pianist for several musicals & operas at Ithaca College, including a concert performance of Dana Wilson’s new opera, Wolf by the Ears.
