Dear Friends,My backpack of concerns felt heavy as I started my drive to

Seaside Home on a certain hot, humid day in July. My 92-year-young mother had recently fallen twice. My concerns included the extra physical care she would need, the onset of dementia, and the decision of whether she should stay in independent living or be moved to personal care.

Along with those overwhelming concerns, I wondered if I had packed the right clothes. Was it going to be hot and humid, or just right for my hormonal peaks? And then, of course, there was the traffic. Always the traffic. Everyone anxious to reach their final destinations.

As I crossed the last bridge into Cape May, I heard the sea gulls … then the crashing of waves against the shore. And then, there it was, standing majestic, like a welcoming beacon for weary travelers: 201 Grant Street, Seaside Home!

As I stepped across the threshold, my backpack of concerns instantly started to feel lighter! Feeling the love from friends, knowing I would receive the spiritual food that I needed, and, of course, not having to “think” about meals or doing the dishes! All I needed to do was follow the rules, and rest.

Are you counting the days until your next trip to Cape May? Seaside Home has been welcoming weary travelers for 137 years. God has been faithful in providing and protecting the Home. For this I thank Him!

We are looking forward to seeing you this summer. Enjoy this day the Lord has given to us!

Wilma Smoker, President

Greetings! Welcome to Seaside Home! Send in your reservation requests for the 2016 season and join us for a week of devotions and vacation. Requests will be processed beginning March 1st. Enclosed you will find four forms:

1. Submit the First Time Guest Reference Form if you have not been a guest with us before. Remember to have your pastor complete and sign the reference area. You can send this form before, or with, the request form.

If you are bringing adult, unmarried children, and they live at your address, you can list them on your request; please include individual email addresses. Married couples should submit one form, include individual email addresses, but designate one email address as primary.
