The sun is shining, and the temperature is beginning to climb up over zero! This past winter has been one of record lows, and piles and piles of snow, resul:ng in closed highways, school closings and miserable :mes cleaning snow off the car! I have spent a few days in the hospital this past winter, recovering from pneumonia, but have managed to keep up-to-date on the happenings in our District. Our local RTO-ERO District 9 unit has organized a special experience for our members that should be of a very good interest to all. It is called "Profiles 2018". You will find the details about it on the next page of this issue of Clean Slate. Our Commiiee for Leisure and Recrea:on chair, Clare French, has organized several short “excursions” in the area, so that you can spend a day visi:ng interes:ng venues, and enjoy some comradeship with your fellow teachers. His list of these events appears in this issue of Clean Slate on pages 9, 10, and 11. I have made arrangements for another “Theatre Event” that will take place on July 6th at the Huron Country Playhouse in Grand Bend. “CRUISIN’ CLASSICS” is a wonderful music-filled show that I’m sure many of you would enjoy. You will see a tear-off sheet in this issue, which you can send in to book your special seat for this produc:on. Seats are only $42 per person. MO8111 NOV 14 to NOV 20 Day 1 Southern Ontario to Portage, IN Join our motor coach early this morning as we depart from Southern Ontario and travel to the border where we cross into the United States. Our destination today is Portage, where we spend our first overnight.

Day 2 Branson, MO Our journey today takes us southwest through St. Louis to Springfield, and then south to Branson, Missouri where we spend the next four nights. (CB)

Day 3 Branson, MO These days will be filled with excitement as we enjoy Branson and the Ozark Mountain area. We have included admission to five music shows during our stay, and have also allowed you free time to see more of your favorite entertainers on your own. Today begins with a tour of “Branson’s strip” to orient you with the area. We will also take you to the old town area, a quaint Ozark mountain community. This afternoon we cruise on Tablerock Lake aboard the Showboat Branson Belle, for a terrific lunch and new show! Tonight, be amazed at Clay Cooper’s Country Express Show, entering his 31st year in Branson! (B,L)

Day 4 Branson, MO Following a leisurely Breakfast, we head out for some shopping time or a morning show of your own choosing. This afternoon we enjoy a tribute to Patsy Cline. Dinner is included today after the show, and this evening is free for you to choose a show of your choice. (CB,D)

Day 5 Branson, MO Today we include the #1 Hits of the 60’s & 50’s show. A a non-stop, high-energy party as we take you back to the days of the British Invasion, Motown, California Surfin’ and the Age of Aquarius with over 90 songs, 100 costume changes and a very special tribute to our veterans. And yes-- there may even be an Elvis sighting! Dinner included today. This evening a finale to our Branson tour – the Acrobats of China! (B,D)

Day 6 Indianapolis, IN Continental breakfast is included this morning prior to our departure from Branson. We reboard our motorcoach once again and say farewell to the Ozark region, with fond memories of all of the entertainers that have performed for us in the last few days. From Branson we travel northeast to St. Louis, Missouri where we cross the mighty Mississippi River, then continue east through Illinois and Indiana. Our overnight accommodations are in Indianapolis. (CB)

Day 7 Home Today we travel north through Indiana into Michigan as we make our way back to the border. Following time to shop Duty Free, we cross the border back into Ontario.
