Rationale for new course

This course serves as an introduction to corporate finance for finance majors and minors preparing for upper level course work. The overall primary objective is to provide the framework, concepts, and tools for analyzing financial decisions based onfundamental principles of modern financial theory. It is the desired initial finance course to be taken in pursuit of the Finance Majoras it provides a rigorous and analytical approach to the many facets of corporate finance. The current list of required financecourses is lacking a comprehensive one that develops the needed skill set. This course will fill that gap and serves as a "set up"for the upper level courses available to our students.
