MANHATTAN, Kan. — The Kansas Department of Agriculture (KDA) will host six Regional Agribusiness Development Workshops in 2016. The workshops will provide Kansas farmers, ranchers and agribusinesses with resources, and current business development and organiza onal contacts to assist with startups or expansions.

The KDA Division of Agriculture Marke ng received a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Business Development Grant to help fund these state-wide workshops. Dates and loca ons of the workshops include:

In order for TCT to meet the future needs of our customers, we may share CPNI information with our affiliates including TC Wireless and TCT Technologies, Inc. We will disclose your CPNI records for the specific intent to analyze and/or provide products or services. This allows us greater ability to tailor the services we provide to you.

TCT does not share your information with any company other than those who work for us such as installation contractors, collection agencies, billing vendors, etc that may help us install, bill and market products and services to you. All such companies that act on our behalf are contractually obligated to keep the information we provide them confidential and to use the information we share only to provide the service we ask them to perform for us. TCT does not sell or share customer information with unrelated companies so they can market their products to you.

Special of Special of the Month...the Month...

Stop by the Lyona United Methodist Church, 1850 Wolf Rd, rural Junc on City, on Monday, Feb. 1, for the church’s 72nd Annual Ground Hog Supper. Meals will be served from 3:30 to 8pm. The menu will include waffl es, pancakes, sausage, homemade ice cream, and beverages. The all-you-can-eat meal is $8 for adults, $4 for children 6-12, and free for children 5 and under. Local musicians will provide wonderful entertainment in the sanctuary while you wait. In case of inclement weather, the supper will be on Saturday, Feb. 6. Plain and smoked link sausage for home use can be reserved by contac ng the church at 785-257-3474 or [email protected]. The public is invited.

Community Blood Drive, Feb. 8, 11am — 5pm, at the Council Grove Chris an Church Fellowship Hall, 106 East Main. Those with diabetes and high blood pressure may donate as long as their condi on is monitored by a physician and controlled with medica on. We encourage high school students 17 years and older to be donors. Eat breakfast and lunch and drink plenty of liquids, do not drink tea, it can aff ect your hemoglobin count. First Congrega onal United Church of Christ will host their annual Lenten Luncheons beginning Thursday, Feb. 11 in Fellowship Hall at 400 W Main St, Council Grove. They are held each Thursday through March 17. Serving begins at Noon, is followed with a devo onal me from an area pastor and concludes by 1pm. The menu is a choice of two soups, dessert, relishes and drink. A list of speakers will be announced on TCTTV channel 2 and in the Council Grove Republican. There is a free-will off ering that is used for local mission projects of the church. Everyone is welcome to a end.

Join us for dinner and music at the Community Chris an Church, 18 McCardle St, Council Grove, on Saturday, Feb. 13. Dinner will be served at 6pm with The Wrights in concert at 7pm. Please call 620-767-2600 for reserva ons; reserva on deadline is Saturday, Feb. 6. Cost is $10 per person.

The Tampa Trail Stop, a community owned, not for profi t, volunteer staff ed, grocery store in Tampa, is holding a breakfast fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 20, from 8—9:30am at the (767-8203) Tampa Senior Center. Pancakes, sausage, coff ee and juice will be provided for $5.

The Burdick Bunch Relay for Life is sponsoring a soup supper, bingo, Texas hold ‘em, and auc on night at the legion hall in Burdick on Feb. 27. Serving begins at 5pm, auc on of pies and other items at 6:30pm, and games immediately following. A fun night for a great cause, please join us. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.

The Council Grove Senior Center is sponsoring a trip to the Prairie Band Casino on March, 17. The cost is $23 per person with $10 playing money back. The bus will depart from Herington and make stops in Council Grove and Alta Vista. Payment will be due by March 1; check payable to S&S Tours.
