WE WANT YOU TO KNOW Restrooms are located outside the Life Center and

in our Children’s Center at the end of the hall.

We offer Sunday School Classes for all ages.

Please allow our Nursery Volunteers to care for your children, Birth-Toddlers. Mother’s nursing areas are available in the Women’s Restroom outside the Life Center and in our Office Complex.

You can listen to any of our past sermons if you go to our website: www.pleasantviewmc.org and click on “resources”. Contact the church office if you would like to have a copy of the sermon CD’s.

We have set up our own War Room in the office complex in Room OC 103. Be sure to stop by, post your requests, and spend some time in prayer.

Please stop by our Welcome Center if there is any other way that we may assist you or to sign up for our upcoming events.

What’s Happening and Looking Ahead

Upward Sports Opening Day January 7th, 2017 is our Opening Day for the 2017

Upward season. It takes many hands for each game day to be a success. There have been many willing servants step up to fill positions for this ministry. If you have not done so already, would you be willing to give up a few hours on one or more Saturday mornings to work in the concession stand, media room, or as a score keeper? Women’s Wednesday Night Bible Study Beth Moore “Esther”

Prophecy Sunday School Class Next Sunday, January 8th, 2017, Pastor Ron Elie will begin a Sunday School class that will cover Biblical Prophecy and End Time Events. This is an 8-week class that will run until the last Sunday in February. Please mark your Connection

reviveOHIO Encounter Day January 14th, 2017 is the date for the next reviveOHIO encounter day. Please be sure to mark your calendars and join Darke County that day in sharing the Good News with those in our community. They will meet for prayer at 7:00 a.m., breakfast at 8:00 a.m., and then form teams to go out at 9:00 a.m. This will be followed by a time of testimony at noon. This encounter day will take place at Trinity Lutheran Church, 8520 Oakes Rd. in Pitsburg.

PV Fifth Sunday Gathering On January 29th, we will hold our first of many quarterly gatherings. This event will include a Carry-in meal, a time of worship, and a time of testimony. This is an All-church event and we would love to see our entire church family come together for some fun, fellowship and worshipping the King of Kings. We will begin with dinner at 5:00 p.m. We ask that all families bring two dishes to share with those attending.

Youth Prayer Meeting On January 21, the youth will meet in the Youth Café for a prayer meeting. We will meet from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

The Big Game Party The big game is scheduled for Sunday, February 5th, 2017. The youth will be having a Big Game Party that evening that will include fun, fellowship, food, and football. All youth are invited to this party and are encouraged to invite friends! Each teen is asked to bring a 2-liter bottle of pop. All food will be provided.

WinterJam Cincinnati February 18th, 2017: WinterJam is a concert that hosts multiple well know Christian singing artists all in one evening. The youth will leave the church at 2:30 p.m. and return around midnight. Please sign up NOW in the youth center if you plan to attend this event.

As we celebrate the beginning of the New Year, the question that begs our attention is usually a simple one. “What do we want to improve upon in 2017?”

So how will you answer that, starting today? I want to get healthier. I need to update my house. We need to spend more time relaxing. Or, is God calling us to something greater than ourselves in 2017? Could we put our own ambitions aside for His? Would we be willing to get out of our comfort zone for the thrill that comes with walking in His zone? Let’s begin today to look at this New Year with a different appreciation for His desires and a renewed heart for what Jesus has done for us.
