GETTING RESULTS
As your MP, Robert Chisholm will work hard for the
people of Dartmouth-Cole Harbour. Robert will bring
people together around practical, cost-effective ideas
to make life more affordable for middle class families,
and as a member of Jack Layton’s NDP team, he will
speak up for:
A MESSAGE FROM ROBERT CHISHOLM
Dear Residents of Dartmouth-Cole Harbour,
I am extremely honoured to be the federal NDP candidate for your riding. In the next election I will be asking for your support. As your Member of Parliament, I’ll work hard on your behalf to get real results for Dartmouth-Cole Harbour.
A political representative who works hard every day and really cares can make a difference. I believe in having conversations to solve problems, and in getting things done. For me, public service is a passion and a personal responsibility. I feel obliged to speak up on behalf of others - whose voices might otherwise be lost - so that fairness, respect and cooperation can be woven into the fabric of our society.
When I look at federal politics today, I don’t like what I see: the Harper government’s “divide and conquer” strategy for gaining power; the Liberals enable Harper when it suits them, then opposing just for the sake of opposition. Ordinary Canadians are suffering as a result. Jack Layton’s NDP team is focused on the kind of representation we need. New Democrats work for real changes for families all the time, not just when it’s convenient.
Dartmouth-Cole Harbour has a strong character and knows the value of hard work. It’s a community that has shown it can come together to build pride and prosperity, without leaving the most vulnerable behind. It’s a community that wants safety and security for all and deserves to be represented in Ottawa by someone who takes the job very seriously.
I’m ready to roll up my sleeves, listen to your concerns, and work hard with you to get results. I will take your ideas to Ottawa, make sure you are heard, and work to make life more affordable in Dartmouth-Cole Harbour.
I’d appreciate your support in the next Federal Election. Together, we can make this great community even better.
