Welcome to the 14th Annual Don Coryell Charity Golf Classic! I’m sure you are all looking forward to a fun, sun-soaked day out on the course. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting the Payne Family Branch of the Boys & Girls Club – the true reason we are all here today. This organization was near and dear to my dad’s heart and I feel privileged to be able to help the Club in his place. I’ve had the opportunity to spend time at the Boys & Girls Club in National City and it always makes me so happy to see kids just being kids, learning and having a great time. This is a credit to the team at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego and the Payne Family Branch, who work tirelessly to provide a safe and nurturing environment for so many deserving kids. Thank you to the staff for all that you do day in and day out. I’d also like to thank all the supporters, sponsors and donors of this golf tournament and the Payne Family Branch. Your generous contributions make a huge difference in the lives of National City youth. I hope you have a great time today, and remember to watch out for runaway golf balls!

big influence on my life.
I started supporting the
Club financially around
the year 2000, when a
childhood buddy, Jim Poe, asked me to get involved.
He also grow up at the Boys & Girls Club. I have
supported the club ever since.
I know firsthand how important the Boys & Girls
Club can be for the community. It gives kids a
friendly and safe place to learn and socialize. It also
gives their parents the comfort of knowing their kids
are in an environment that is positive and protective.
The Boys & Girls Club is one of the best assets that
any community can have."

The Morgan Family Foundation was founded in 2001. Since its
inception, the Foundation has focused on serving National City
youth by supporting local charitable organizations and by awarding
scholarships to graduating seniors of Sweetwater High School.
