The Backyard Grill9453 Jones Rd.Houston281-897-9200There is no shortage of options or flavors at The Backyard Grill. Spice it up with the fiesta burger, which is topped with Pico de Gallo, jalapeños, and pepper jack cheese, all on a jalapeño butter bun. If you’re brave, select from the “triple dog dare ya” menu. This includes the big daddy, the granddaddy, and the beast - which is four pounds of beef topped with eight slices of bacon, four slices of cheese, sautéed mushrooms, jalapeños, and all the trimmings. This monster will set you back $40, but if you eat it in under an hour, it’s free.
Black’s Market Table11550 Louetta Rd.Houston281-676-3207Black’s Market Table features rustic new American flavors that change with the seasons. Check out the six-ounce Akaushi burgers made with Red Rock cheddar, pecan-smoked bacon, and Black’s Market barbecue sauce on a Slow Dough Bakery bun.
Cheeburger Cheeburger106 Vintage Park Blvd.Houston281-320-1212These all-natural Angus beef burgers are cheelicious! Weigh your options and create your own mountain of goodness. Patties range in size from a quarter-pound to 20 ounces. Pick a cheese flavor from mozzarella to pepper jack. Don’t be shy about the toppings. Pile it high with pickles, banana peppers, ranch dressing, relish, Tabasco sauce, or even peanut butter. You can also enjoy a salmon, turkey, or veggie patty.
Clay’s Restaurant17717 Clay Rd.Houston281-859-3773Ever shared your table with a peacock? At Clay’s Restaurant, you may just have that chance. Kid-friendly and packed with flavor, Clay’s is a hometown favorite.
