Make 4 copies of the original pattern and cut
the segments (A/C/E/J, B/D/G, F/I, H) adding
¼” seams (see photo). Paper piece each segment.
Connect segments in this order: A to B,
C to D to E, C/D/E to F, G to H to I,
G/H/I to J, C/D/E/F to G/H/I/J, A/B to
C/D/E/F/G/H/I/J. Trim block to 8”x 8”.
. Trim block to 8’’x 8’’.

Load of Love Block
Finished size: 7½’’x 7½’’
Materials:
Assorted scraps for paper piecing.
Fat eighth (9’’ x 22’’) of background fabric.
2 green 3/4” buttons for the wheel hubs.
Directions:
1. Make 4 copies of the original pattern.
2. Cut around segments, (A/C/E/J, B/D/G, F/I, H), leaving a ¼’’ seam allowance. The red lines show
the edges of each segment.

3. Paper piece each segment. Visit my website: madebymarney.com to see a

4. Connect the segments in this order: A to B, C to D to E, C/D/E to F,
G to H, G/H to I, C/D/E/F to G/H/I, A/B to C/D/E/F/G/H/I.
5. Trim the block to 8’’x 8’’, unfinished.
6. Hand sew 2 green 3/4” buttons to the center of the wheels.
