A Little Help From Our Friends

What’s a friendraiser? For The Charity Guild it was an event that said thank-you to some of our supporters and said welcome to some new friends. More than 30 people filled the spacious kitchen of Kate Feodoroff’s beautiful new home in Easton on March 22 to eat a delicious array of small bites and listen to George Mather, a chef and author, tell stories of Hollywood and demonstrate how he makes clam chowder from scratch. George has just put out a book titled “Boston’s Own Chef to the Stars,” which features recipes from Paul Posti, who worked as Frank Sinatra’s personal chef.

“The wonderful magic of this evening,” said chairperson Nancy Gustafson, “was that friends brought friends and made new friends as well as a new friendship with the Charity Guild.”

Thanks to Kate – a former Guild chairwoman – and her mom, Florence McNamara, for hosting this event.

Restaurant Week Monday, May 14 through Sunday, May 20
