DESCRIPTION
Another tale from the past! Admire the sheer elegance of an a'level examination set in years gone by. No messing about with four, separate 'Core'-papers to prove your worth in Pure Maths; just one containing a mere 10 questions, of which you're required to attempt 8 in three hours. Easy? I don't think so! It is, however, a 'fair' paper with enough parts of questions for weak candidates to get their 'pass' whilst offering massive scope for the brightest to prove their worth. Only 10 questions instead of today's 60 or so, but in those days it was quality not quantity that counted, first and foremost,in an exam set at this level. See what you think!
