GOLDEN IBIS SOCIETY ­ A RITEOF PASSAGEClass of 1966 alumni were formallyinducted into the Golden Ibis Societyon Thursday, November 3. This rite ofpassage is celebrated at the culminationof each graduating class' 50th yearreunion. This year's celebration featuredthe Stardust Cabaret showcasing thetalents of students from the Frost Schoolof Music and College of Arts & ScienceDepartment of Theatre Arts.

REUNIONS ­ COMING HOMETO THE UThis year's Alumni Weekend &Homecoming celebrated the 10th, 40th,and 50th class reunions. Formerclassmates gathered for their milestonereunion celebrations throughoutcampus. Alumni from all over the globereturned home to the U to reconnect andshare memories.

The Audrey R. Finkelstein UM Experience was created by the late Audrey R.Finkelstein, A.B. ’38, a proponent of lifelong learning, Audrey passed on thevirtue of education to others throughout her life, founding several educationalprograms at the University of Miami.On Friday, November 4, alumni gathered at the Donna Shalala Student Centerfor six lectures from UM faculty. Lectures included: Is Sports Ethics an Oxymoron? by Susan Mullane, B.Ed.'75, M.Ed. '77, Ph.D. '95, associate professor in the School of Education andHuman Development, and director of the undergraduate Sport Administrationprogram; Compliance 2.0: Addressing Corruption In Our Global BusinessEnvironment by Dr. Anita Cava, professor of business law in the School ofBusiness Administration and director, Business Ethics Program; co­director,UM Ethics Program; What Infants Can Tell Us About Music by Shannon del’Etoile, professor of music therapy and associate dean of graduate studies inthe Frost School of Music; Creating a Culture of Belonging by IsaacPrilleltensky, vice provost for institutional culture and dean of the School ofEducation and Human Development; Mapping Informal Cities by School ofArchitecture professor Carie Penabad, B.Arch.’95; Changing How Lawyers +Clients Collaborate: LAWWITHOUTWALLS Michele DeStefano withprofessor of law, along with Erika Pagano, J.D. ’13, lecturer in law.
