Strike Force Georgiana investigations are continuing.

(" .' A RETIRED priest has been charged with historical Indecent assault offences

<.. J which allegedly occurred in Hunter during the 1960s and 1970s.

On November 21 and December 3 this year, two former students of a local Marist

college made allegations of indecent assault by a now-retired teacher who is now

. retired.

Strike Force Georgiana investigators travelled this month \0 Cook, In the ACT, and

served future court attendance notices on an 80-year-old man at his home.

He has been charged with three counts of indecent assault allegedly committed

against two victims while at school in the 1960s and 19705.

The retired priest was granted bail to appear in Newcastle Local Court on 29

January 2013.

Strike Force Georgiana is an ongoing, locally-run investigation Further charges
