Academy Mission
o A Joint Committee where the University and HUCTW collaborate in the on-going evaluation and strengthening oftraining, education, and career and professional development programs for HUCTW members.
o Our Mission: to ensure that Harvard staff have access to and are aware of the resources available to them as they relate to professional development, growth, and internal marketability.

Academy Goals
o Ensure that resources to promote and develop staff are available to them
o Inform staff of opportunities available so that they can take action to increase success potential in current positions and/or move internally within Harvard’s system
o Assess learning opportunities available to staff members and provide information on development resources available throughout Harvard
o Instill a “take responsibility for your own career” value in staff members
o Monitor University trends as they relate to position requirements and specifically those positions that may be at risk

Tuition Assistance Plan (TAP) Helps pay the cost of tuition for courses taken at participating Harvard Schools
and other accredited institutions. Using TAP you can explore an academic field or pursue an academic degree.

…or if you are rejected by TAP for the following reasons: o a failing grade; o exhausted outside TAP limit of $5,250/year; o in your O&R period, i.e., immediately after hire
