What is AQMIS?A real-time air quality and meteorological data system containing hourly data useful for making:
• Smoke Management Decisions
• Air Quality Forecasts
• Real-time Information Available to the Public

• Original PC-based System Developed in 1999 as part of IASC’s PFIRS sub-committee
PFIRS 2000ARB and USFS Entered into Agreement to Enhance PFIRS ‘99
– Convert to Web-based System– Add Additional Smoke Management Guidelines
