(by John Motz, pastor)
Worship with Sanitizer, Masks, Distance and Joy!
After nearly 3 months under the stay at home order, New Life is beginning the Reopening
process this Sunday, May 31st! We will reopen our Sunday morning worship service in the
sanctuary, worship with sanitizer, masks, distance and joy! We will also continue utilizing
the technology of the “live-stream” worship concurrently each Sunday morning at 9:00, en-
couraging many to continue to worship in this way as we navigate health concerns and deal
with the seating limitations due to social distancing rules.
Some changes you will notice: As you enter the sanctuary you will be greeted with love as
usual, but instead of a handshake you will be offered of hand sanitizer. As we gather, and
especially when we sing, we will request that all wear a mask over your nose and mouth.
Masks (recommended/optional) will be available for you in the Narthex if you don’t already
have one. As you move into the Sanctuary for worship, you will see that many of the pews
will be blocked off, encouraging safe distancing and reducing our seating capacity. And with
all these changes, I also expect that we will experience a greater sense of joy in our worship-
ing together experience.
This Phase One of the process does not include any children’s programing (Sunday school or
nursery care) but that will be coming soon. It also will not include our normal fellowship...

Parents Prayer Zoom
Because we live in a compli-cated and challenging world, the burden on a parents heart for their children (even after they’ve grown) can be overwhelming. Yet, we are not invited to despair, but to pray for these ongoing rela-tionships and needs. If you are a parent and would like a little extra support, then join us via Zoom on Thurs-day evening, June 25 at 7:00 for a time of sharing and praying together. The link to join the group is https://fresno.zoom.us/j/94306884490 (or just type in the 11 numbers to join the meeting if you are already on Zoom). Please keep in mind that the time of sharing and praying for one another and our precious families is confidential. We are in this together and God will see it through!
CONGRATULATIONS
2020 GRADUATES!

...at the conclusion of the service (that may take a little
longer to reinstitute). We will be carefully and prayerful-
ly navigate through these coming months toward a new
normalcy, but all the while using the technology that has
served us so well during the shut-down to continue to
allow us to serve the needs of the church and communi-
ty better than ever.
New Life Distance Barbecue
Sunday afternoon June 14th we will gather (or not) for a
barbecue lunch together (or not). What I mean by that
is a barbecue (chicken) will be prepared for all the New
Life family at 12 noon. If you would like to gather, bring
a lawn chair and a hat as we with distance and enjoy
lunch together out on the lawn. If you are not comforta-
ble gathering just yet, please come anyway, and a drive-
thru line for the lunch will also be available to pick up
the lunch made with love for you!
Wednesday morning
Men’s Breakfast and Bible Study
As we begin our reopening process at New Life, our
men’s breakfast/Bible study will continue to post a video
devotional each Wednesday that corresponds with the
text and theme of the lesson for that day. Soon we will
begin to meet again for breakfast and the study time to-
gether while still posting the corresponding mid-week
devotion on Facebook. The day of physically gathering
at Brooks Ranch (Wednesdays at 6:30)has not yet been
determined, but is coming soon. Updates and more in-
formation will be on its way!

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. – Psalm 46:1 (NLT)
Life can be really tough at times especially during these times of the new normal. I get it people let you
down, situations let us down. We experience heartache, disappointment and all these difficult things can
sometimes make you want to give up on God. When you experience tough times, what do you do? Where do you
go? Who do you lean on?
The Bible tells us that He is our refuge and strength. He wants to be where you go when things are tough.
When you don’t know how your going to make through the day in this boredom.
For our seniors of this year class, I bet we might be asking God some really tough questions right now.
Trust me class of 2020 you are love and not forgotten. Trust God his plan is not finished yet. God wants
to be your source of wisdom. When things aren’t going the way you expected, He wants to be the one you
turn to. God wants to be your help when things get tough.
I get it things look a little different right now and life has been challenging for all of us. Be thankful
we have hope in Jesus and we are not alone.
In these times we need to be getting closer to God, letting Him take control of all our situations. I get
it we could chose friends, the internet, Netflix or maybe food for comfort. But, God is the only true
light and He is the only answer.
We are opening back up, with caution both high school and jr. high student ministries. I bet we all missed
each other and missed the hanging out aspect of youth group. My prayer is that God allows to grow using
his method of the gospel. Please parents if you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact
me.
