    This past weekend, Alicia and I were able to represent Philippi at two important events. The first was the “We Stand With God Pro-Family Rally” at the Statehouse on Saturday, where more than 10,000

believers united to let our voices be heard: God, not the Supreme Court, defines marriage. On Sunday night, we went to the Upward Star Center in Spartanburg for The Prayer Launch, put on by the Carolina Pregnancy Center. More than 1,000 of us spent two hours praying for the end of abortion, and worshipping God alongside a massive orchestra and choir. We were honored to represent Philippi, and we were refreshed to see so many other believers standing for God’s truth. We look forward to seeing you all on Sunday. !

! ! In light of recent events, and a need of a sister church (First Baptist, Union) Pastor Brad has been asked to preach their Morning Worship Service at 10:45. !! Therefore, our response, as a

church body to help them, will be to have one Morning Worship Service at Philippi this Sunday, September 6, at 9:00. Pastor Brad will be bringing the message at that time. We will have Children’s Church for Grades 1-6, child care and nursery at 9:00 AM. There will be no Bible Study Classes.!! ALL Sunday PM activities and service will be as scheduled.!!
