a Holly Christmas Eliya Grace Drew, grand child #1, arrived just in time for Christmas. ursday, December 8 -- the big day found Lynne at the hospital helping Heather and Donovan welcome “Ellie” into the family. We’ve got a lot of grandparenting to do in a short amount of time. Heather and Donovan are praying for the remainder of their support in order to leave for South Africa this Spring! Now how are we going to spoil our grand- daughter that far away? Guess we’ll just have to cry on the shoulders of our other adult children. Hannah, half way through the physical therapy doctoral program at Univ. of Maryland in Baltimore, celebrated her “pinning” in April. Ryan, having graduated from Geneva College last year with a business degree continues logging hours in the air. We enjoy having Rachel at home, though between studies at DeVry Univ., work and social life, “at home” is a relative term. We have become well acquainted with airport security procedures and flight at- tendants on US Airways. e best part of flight? . . . getting there! A great trip to Spain in May included celebrating yet another graduating class from the Efeso Bible Institute, teaching, preaching, visiting, etc... e church in Leon is close to break- ing ground for their new building. Excit- ing times for the Spain ministry in spite of national economic woes! church through difficult months and then seeing God restore the joy and excitement of the congre- gation as they called a permanent Senior Pastor on August 1. In spite of pressure, we both enjoyed the opportunity to serve together as a couple at the church. As we enter a new year, we are amazed and humbled at God’s faithfulness. 2011 was a year of intense pressure and challenge balanced by moments of great joy and blessing. We look forward to 2012 with anticipation for more of the same. Lynne got to join him in August and then stayed an extra week to spend time with her mother at Ocean Shores, WA. In November Dan was in Phoenix on college business. 2011 was a year of seeing God work miraculously -- not only in our lives and family, but also in our church. Dan was able to step in as Interim Senior Pastor at our church (in addition to the college and Spain ministries), Lancaster Evangelical Free Church, guiding the December 2011

We’ve got a lot of grandparenting to do in a short amount of time. Heather and Donovan are praying for the remainder of their support in order to leave for South Africa this Spring! Now how are we going to spoil our grand-daughter that far away?
