Sponsorship Dorchester Agricultural Society and The Dorset County Show
Dorchester Agricultural Society runs the Dorset
County Show, we maintain our strong roots in
the farming community and loyal support from
around the County.
Traditions play a major part in bringing visitors
back year on year, but we are very aware of
relevance in the 21st century and we were one
of the first shows to introduce ‘children go free’
and ‘e-tickets’.
Sponsors have been rewarded with consistently
high visitor numbers, an excellent visitor profile
and of course now with all the local residential
development, a growing population base.
The Show sees approximately 55,000 visitors
over the two Show days each year who come to
see the huge range of attractions on offer from
some of the region’s best livestock, to the wide
range of trade stands to the impressive Main
Ring attractions as well as lots more in between.
Marketing of the Show remains an array of
Newspaper, Radio and Magazine advertising,
however, Social Media and target e-advertising
is becoming more and more relevant. No stone
is left unturned in efforts to attract even higher
numbers of farmers and visitors to the Show so
that Sponsors and Trade Stands are exposed to
as many people as possible.
Sponsorship is vital to the Show as it enables
better classes, displays and attractions, which in
turn adds to a great Show.

Sponsorship & VAT:
- Sponsorship packages start at £250 and are subject to VAT.
- Donations up to the value of £100 are not subject to VAT but can be still
be attributed to as specific area of the show.

- Two Entry Passes for both show days
- A Priority Car Parking Pass
- Two Sponsors Badges for admission to the Members’ Pavilion
- The opportunity for you to present the prizes for your event, e.g. the Cattle Trophies if you
are the breed Sponsor
- Your Company Name in the Show Catalogue and on the Show Website
- A link from the Show Website to your Company’s Website
- Your Company advertised on Social Media
- Numerous mentions over the Public Address by our Commentary Team, and an opportunity
to give them a short advert/promotional package to read out.
Silver Sponsor - £500 + VAT
- Four Entry Passes for both show days
- Two Priority Car Parking Passes
- Four Sponsors Badges for admission to the Members’ Pavilion
- Your Company Name in the Show Catalogue and on the Show Website
- A link from the Show Website to your Company’s Website
- The opportunity for you to present the prizes for your event, e.g. the Cattle Trophies if you
are the Championship Sponsor
- Your Company advertised on Social Media
- Numerous mentions over the Public Address by our Commentary Team, and an opportunity
to give them a short advert/promotional package to read out.

Gold Sponsor - £1,000 + VAT
- Six Entry Passes for both show days
- Three Priority Car Parking Pass
- Six Sponsors Badges for admission to the Members’ Pavilion
- Reserved Table for Six for Lunch in the Members’ Pavilion on one day
- An invitation for two to attend the President’s Drinks Reception

- An invitation for four to attend the President’s Drinks Reception

are the main Cattle Sponsor

Diamond Sponsor - £6,000 - 10,000 + VAT

HEADLINE SPONSORS - £10,000 + VAT PLUS
Headline Sponsors are specific to major items such as:
The Main Ring Attraction - “The Jones Foods Sponsored Motorbike
Display”
The Members Pavilion – “The Jones Foods Members Pavilion”
The Main Ring - “The Jones Foods Main Ring”
Or the whole Show.
These items above are the most prominent and most recognised opportunities
at the Show. We would be pleased to meet with you to discuss a package that
is tailor made to your requirements.
What can Sponsorship Fees be attributed to?
The list is endless, but a few examples are:
Single competition class
A group of classes (Hereford Cattle, Wines, Grain etc.)
Championships
A section of the Show such as Cattle or Homecraft
An attraction at the Show
The Countryside Ring
The East Members’ Entrance and The West Members’ Entrance
Garden displays at pedestrian, Members, tent entrances or a special
Members’ Lawn Feature or Secretary’s Office Feature
The Vice-Presidents’ Car Park windscreen labels
