Serve something fresh and delicious while your guests wait for the main course. Find all the ingredi-ents you need in the store—all ready to go. All you need to do is put it together!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:1 Food Lion® shrimp ring, defrosted1-2 Containers of store bought guacamole1 Container of Pico de Gallo 1 Bag of Food Lion® Cupz tortilla chips

DIRECTIONS:1. Defrost shrimp ring. (Tip: It’s best to defrost in the fridge overnight.)2. Spread tortilla Cupz on platter or large dish.3. Fill about a tablespoon of guacamole in each cup. Then, add one shrimp, with the tail removed, and top with about a ½ teaspoon of Pico de Gallo.4. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Your guests will “oooh” and “ahhhh” over your clever candy cane mason jar centerpiece on your holiday table! Decorating them is easy… and fun!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED: 3-4 Mason Jars, any sizeRed & white acrylic paintPaint brushes3-4 Frog lids (optional)1 roll of 1 inch painter’s tape (optional)A few bunches of PoinsettiasScissors

DIRECTIONS: 1. First, clean and wash with hot soapy water. Allow to dry completely. 2. Paint your jar with white or red paint and allow it to dry. Starting from the bottom to the top, place the painter’s tape at a diagonal. Repeat every inch to create stripes. (Don’t worry about being perfect!) Then, paint in between. Once it’s dry, remove the painter’s tape. Voila… Candy cane stripes! You can also leave it a solid color—it’ll look festive either way!3. Screw on your frog lid (which keeps your poinsettias in place) or leave the cap off. Fill your jar with cold water. Cut your poinsettias to your desired length and pop them in your painted jar.

DIRECTIONS:1. On a large platter or cutting board, arrange cheese, meat, and veggies to form a tree, alternating between deli tray and veggies for each row. 2. For the star at the top, cut a stack of cheese with cookie cutter and add celery stalks at the bottom for the tree stump.


P R O S E C C O I C E C U B E S They’re sparkling, effervescent, and totally delicious. For your adult guests, Prosecco Ice Cubes are a perfect addition to any festive punch. They won’t water their drinks down and it’ll taste great, too.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:Ice cube trayProsecco

DIRECTIONS:1. Gently pour your prosecco into an ice cube tray.2. Then, pop them into the freezer overnight (or for six to eight hours).3. Once they’re frozen, add cubes to any drink. Remember, because of the alcohol content in prosecco, these cubes won’t

freeze totally solid.


Here’s to a new take on savory finger foods. Snowball meatballs are delightfully melty and best of all, your guests will love your festive creativity!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:1 package of Food Lion® fresh or frozen meatballs1 ball fresh mozzarella cheeseCircle cookie cutterPopsicle sticksNature’s Place Organic BBQ Sauce (optional)

DIRECTIONS:1. Cook meatballs as directed on package and remove them from the oven about 5-8 minutes before they’re done.2. While the meatballs bake, cut mozzarella ball into slices, about a ¼ inch thick.3. Remove meatballs from the oven and place a slice of fresh mozzarella overtop each. Return to the oven for the remaining cook time or until the cheese melts.4. Using a circle cookie cutter, remove the excess melted cheese at the bottom of the meatball.5. Transfer to a serving plate and skewer each meat ball with a popsicle stick. Serve with a side of Nature’s Place Organic BBQ Sauce for dipping.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:4 Cinnamon sticks2 Oranges, quartered4 Cups fresh or dried cranberries2 Fresh rosemary sprigs

DIRECTIONS:1. In a large pot or a slow cooker, combine ingredients and cover with water (about 2-3 cups) and simmer on low heat.

Tip: This can simmer all day long. Remember to add more water if it gets low!

P E P P E R M I N TH O T C H O C O L A T EPeppermint Hot Cocoa jars make holiday gift giving on a budget easy! They’re simple to put together and your family and friends will love that they’re “handmade”.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED: 1/2 cup Food Lion® Milk Chocolate Hot Cocoa Mix2 Tbsp. Crushed peppermints2 Tbsp Food Lion® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels, chopped1/2 cup Food Lion® Miniature Marshmallows1-1/2 cup size mason jar or any jar with a lid

DIRECTIONS:Layer each ingredient, starting with the hot cocoa mix, then peppermints, semi-sweet morsels, and marshmallows. Tap the jar in between to pack and level each ingredient. Screw on the lid and attach recipe directions with ribbon or twine.

Recipe to attach:Take out marshmallows and set aside. Empty jar into a medium sauce pot or slow cooker. Stir in 2-1/4 cups water or milk and simmer, stirring occasionally, until completely dissolved and warm. Pour into 3 mugs, top with reserved marshmallows, and enjoy!
