SimplePrintingWewillstartwithsqueezingoutsomepaintonourGelliplate.Usethebrayertomovethepaintaroundandcovertheplate.Liftthebrayeraftereveryroll.Thatisthemosteffectivewaytomovethepaintacrosstheplate.Takeasheetofpaperandpressitdownontheplate.Gentlyrubyourpalmsonthepapertomakesuretheprintistransferred.Liftupcarefullytoseeyourprint.Theprintyouseeherehasbeendoneusingsomeyellowpaintrolledontothegelliplate.Asyoucanseeitliftedoffsomepinkpaintfromthelastprintingrunaswell.ToaddsomevisualinterestIusedahomemadewordstamprightacrossthebottomoftheplatebeforeIpulledtheprint.Fordetailsonprintingprocedurespleasedoseethebonusvideoreferencedattheendofthischapter.

SecondPrintsIfthereispaintleftonyourplateyoucanuseanothersheetofpaperandliftaghostprint.SometimesthoughIdonthavealotofpaintleftonmyplateandIaddathinlayerofnewpaint.ThenIliftofftheprint.Usuallyallthepaintcomesoff,butwhatissupercoolisthatthepaintthatwasleftbehindisalsolifted,givingmeasuperfunkylook.

Theprintaboveisaghostprint.FortheprintbelowIhadsomeyellowandpinkpaintleftonmyplatebutnotenoughtopullafullprint.Itookmyrollerandsomenavypaintandaddedanewthinlayerofpaint.WhenIpulledthisprintoff,notonlydidIgetthenewpaintoffbutalsotheremnantsofthelastprintingrun.IlovethislookandmostlydontcleanmyplatebetweenrunsjustsothatIcangetthislook.

AddingTexturewithToolsWemadesomeawesometexturetoolsinthelastchapterandIalsotoldyouaboutsomeIboughtfromWalmart.IuseafewtoolsIboughtfromWalmart,afewIcutoutofcardboard,someplasticmeshandmysiliconebaking/texturetools.IfyouwanttolearnhowtomakethesepleasereadChapter4.

Theprintyouseeabovewasmadeusingthefollowingsteps.Iaddedsomegreen,pink,yellowandorangepainttomygelliplate.SinceIhadsomanycolorsIusedalittleofeachtomakesureIdidnotendupwithtoomuchpaint.

IusedroundshapedplasticmeshandbubblewraptomakethefirstimpressionsandthenIusedmyhomemadesiliconespatulatooltorunwavesacrosstheplate.Somepinkdotswereaddedusingtheeraserendofmypencil.Iliftedthisprintandfellinlove!Ihavesincebeenusingalotofbrightcolorsinmyprinting,theydoturnoutquitewell.IalsoliftedaghostprintoffthisprintingrunsincethecolorswerebrightandIhadamoderateamountofpaintleftover.
