A Few Highlights of the 2020 Leland Dinner
What a beautiful winter day for Henry Leland’s birthday dinner at Verazano’s Italian
Restaurant. The CLC and Lincoln Club joined for the event. The great weather brought out
several classic’s as you see below. Don Miholovich once again treated us to an event cake
with his personalized decorations. Anthony Kennedy brought up the idea for a raffle and
donated some of his collection along with Don Miholovich, Bobby Lecoque and Myself.
Thank You! We enjoyed seeing all of you although not enough time to chat with everyone!

It’s 2020 and what a different world we have right now! I hope things
start to settle out and we can get through this. As with many organi-
zations, we will not be organizing any events for the foreseeable fu-
ture until this COVID-19 virus settles down and we get an all clear. We
just learned that the 2020 GN in Kansas City has been cancelled. If
you already have made any arrangement for this event, please see the
National CLC Website for more information.
The weather is getting nicer and I’m sure we would all rather be driv-
ing our Cadillacs & LaSalles. I have had several of my cars out lately
for some exercise during the recent good weather. What a joy it is!
So, check the vital fluids on your cars that have been sitting all winter
and keep up on your own vitals and continue to be safe and sensible
during our quarantine. Myself, I have been enjoying a new favorite
drink, the Quarantini! An martini that you enjoy alone. Bob L.

2020 Grand National cancellation
Dear CLC Members: Well, the COVID-19 crisis has completely upended our plans. This is the message I did not want to have to send, and you did not want to receive. The Club has reluctantly decided to cancel our 2020 Grand National meet we planned to hold in Kansas City in June. Given all of the issues and uncertainty surrounding the impact of the COVID-19 virus, and the demographics of our Club, we felt we had no choice. The local county where the meet was to be held, had already cancelled all events exceeding 10 people currently ending only two weeks before our event. The State of Kansas has cancelled school until the end of August. It wasn't looking good for our being able to proceed as planned. We were already receiving requests to cancel registrations, and the number was beginning to grow. As of today, I understand some of you are in areas that are currently minimally impacted by the virus crisis. However, many of us are, and some are in areas that are unfortunately, severely impacted now; and, your situa-tion may change between now and June 9th. Given the Club's potential liability under the event contracts, the potential for member disillu-sionment by our holding a less than stellar, poorly attended event, and the most important, the potential health risk to our members, I determined cancellation was warranted. This is not what we planned, and not what we wanted to do. But, it is a necessity given the world we currently live in. Hopefully, this pandemic will subside soon and we can all safely get back to our lives, and automotive pursuits. We’ll be back next July in Albuquerque. It’s going to be a great event, hope to see you there. Until then, stay safe. Glenn Brown CLC President

When in Gettysburg on the 2019 CLC Driving tour we had the honor to view Frank Bucks collection. It is our understanding that he
has completed a museum on his property to house his this collection. In addition to cars he has a collection of WWII military vehi-
cles. It’s good that he lives on a large pre Civil War farm because as you probably know, these are huge vehicles. Being the collec-
tor he is, he also compliments his collection with vintage military helmets and clothes, toy trucks and trains. If you have the op-
portunity to see his museum, when in Gettysburg, you will be wowed like we were.
The Packard Club was staying at our hotel and we ran into them on several tours. They opted to park on a scenic hill . It was a
large group that traveled together and we enjoyed watching them file in.
