* Not Inclusive: Discussion underway with several other agencies
• Expansion paced to ability to manage and operate
• Incorporate “value added” federal, state and municipal partners
• Integrate, as appropriate, with other SBU networks
• Determine need for additional capabilities:– Biometrics (Facial Recognition, Fingerprint Matching, other)
– Knowledge Discovery/Entity Extraction
– Data search and mining of multi-media data (video, audio)
– Natural Language Search

Way AheadWay Ahead
• JRIES is designed primarily as an analytical tool for federal, state and municipal partners – paramount to JITF-CT Force Protection Mission
• JRIES functionality and technical solutions are simple and inexpensive – extensible to a broader stakeholder community if so desired– Example: Regional information sharing between local DoD
and other Federal Agencies, Law Enforcement, Local Government, and Local Critical Infrastructure
• Multiple tools and solutions are available or proposed to address Homeland Security requirements
• Integration of complementary solutions should be the goal – not competition – No one solution/approach likely to satisfy all requirements
