INSPIRE US, O GOD HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARY!! Today the Catholic Church celebrates the birth of Mary—a truly courageous and spirit-filled woman. Let’s us pray, that like Mary, we too may live out God’s call. Gracious God, may we give our lives to you and live in the service of others. Gracious God, may we be people of action who live out your Word. Gracious God, may we be people of light who shine your love into the hearts of those we meet. Gracious God, may the spirit that filled the heart of Mary also dwell within us. Gracious God, may we be willing to be the hands, the feet and the face of Christ in the world. 2017 SCHOOL FEES & LEVIES A very BIG THANK YOU to those families who have already paid school fees and levies. Term 3 School Fees ($240) are now overdue. Those families who hold a current Health Care Card will receive a $100 discount off their school fees, plus an additional $125 from the government towards camps, excursions and swimming costs. If families would like to set up a payment plan or are having difficulty paying fees please see Leonie, Elisabeth or Brendan. Dear Parents/Carers, Staff and Students, I certainly hope that these first few days of spring are nothing like what we are going to have for the rest of the season. Unfortunately for our Year 5/6 students, they have had a rather cold and wet time at Anglesea Camp. However, the children and staff soldiered on amidst the wind and rain. They fished, and canoed, and climbed and rode, and ate and slept and have done all this with a smile on their faces. I’m sure they have lots of stories to tell. Well done to the children for their great behaviour while on camp—I have heard they were outstanding. An EXTRA BIG thank you to the staff who organised and supervised the camp—Sam, Lucy, Nadine, Anne, Rhys, Megan, Alissa and Brigida. Camps are a lot of extra work for staff, so your time at Anglesea is much appreciated. It is concerning the number of children who arriving late to school every day. We understand that some things like traffic, etc are unavoidable, however, some children are late to school every day without reason. This affects how they settle into school and how their learning day begins. It might be a good time to adopt some new routines so that the mornings run more smoothly and children are at school, on time and ready to learn. As we approach the end of term, there are a number of families whose fee accounts are well overdue. It would be appreciated if you could bring your accounts up to date. Thank you. Some of you received a survey recently from InsightSRC. The surveys are part of our school review and improvement process, and as such, families were required to be chosen at random. As we have only chosen a sample of our parent population, it is very important that ALL of these surveys are completed online or returned to school by MONDAY 11TH SEPTEMBER. Have a great week everyone.
