Advanced Placement
International Baccalaureate"For many years the IB has played an important role in changingthe lives of students through a strong academic curriculum. IBprogrammes engage students in an international educationthat provokes a greater acceptance and understanding of theworld around them. I am delighted to see such a forward-lookingorganization setting its future strategy in a way that will enablemore students to benefit from an IB education .“
- Carol Bellamy, Chair of the IB Board of Governors “Thus, even more compelling than the rigorous process of developing AP is the
effect of AP on the lives of the students who pursue AP programs. Studies—and the testimony of students — demonstrate the vital role Advanced Placement plays in students developing a clear understanding of college-level academic expectations and a lasting passion for and engagement with academic disciplines in which they often eventually major.”
