A Dream Vacation

We created an itinerary and budget for The Plotters’ dream vacation:

They visited two cities in each time zone.

They traveled to 8 places in the U.S.

They drove 6,504.75 miles all together.

They stayed within their budget of $200.00 per day for 9 days (not including gas).

The Food Budget

o They spent $607.10 on meals.

o They had $1,392.90 left over for activities.

The first place they visited was Yellowstone National Park in Montana.

“Hot Springs Terraces Walk”

“Tales of Travertine”

“Wonders of Yellowstone”

“Wildlife Safety” This whole day cost $25 for Yellowstone and $71.77 for their meals.

The next few places they visited were:

San Francisco, California: Zoo

Mt. Whitney, California: Relatives

Grand Canyon, Arizona: Hike and Movie

Dallas, Texas: Football Game

The next place they visited was Clearwater, Florida.

The Plotters visited Clearwater Marine Aquarium.

First, they got their picture with the tailless dolphin, Winter.

Then they explored the turtles and jellyfish.

Then they went to the Lowry Zoo.

The last two places The Plotters visited were:

Washington D.C.: Washington Monument and National Zoo.

St. Paul, Minnesota: Science Museum

The Plotters had the time of their lives on theirroad trip across America!!!
