ACTIONS TAKEN SINCE LAST MEETING:I have made contact with Harry Fry and Nick Bate to find out when their Zone Meetings are so that I can attend them.

I know that Zone 1 has its problems. I hope that these can be eased but I have much to learn about the problems before I can work on a plan of action.

ACTIONS PLANNED BEFORE NEXT MEETING:I will be attending Region Chair Training on 7 August.

I assume that before the next Cabinet there will be meetings in all 3 Zones and it is my intention to attend to attend those.

I need to be updated on the potential Aston Lions Club from Andy and Ron and to see what is the best way forward with this.

ACTIONS PLANNED BEFORE NEXT MEETING: I am at present contacting all Presidents. A:To introduce myself and B: to discuss any problems and arrange a Presidents get together meeting. To arrange future Zone meetings. As I am not privy to any activities since last Cabinet and due to the fact that I offered to take on this roll at handover there is not a lot to report. My plans for the year are to help all of Zone A Clubs to increase membership and to try to get the Clubs working closer together supporting each other. In doing all this I shall be asking for the help and support of GLT Team and District Officers. I look forward to updating this report at the Cabinet meeting.

ACTIONS TAKEN SINCE LAST MEETING:Thanks to past Zone Chair, Lion John Cavana, I visited 4 clubs in the Zone to get to know them and I was very well received by all. I also co-hosted a Zone meeting with Lion John in June. This was to be Lion John’s last Zone meeting and a way for me to get to know the outgoing and the incoming Presidents, Secretaries and Treasurers. The business meeting was short and we then all had a pub supper afterwards which was well attended and most enjoyable. In June I also attended Kenilworth’s Grand Show which was an extremely successful event (see Kenilworth’s report below).
