From the unforgettable moment when a mother first takes her newborn in her arms, a new life unfolds that touches hearts, lives and our world. My friends, this is why we do what we do at Community Pregnancy Clinics. Every woman entering our clinics is met with love, compassion and mercy. We help each mom realize she does have choices other than abortion, and that resources are available to support her choice to give the ultimate gift of life to her baby. More than 12,000 babies have been saved by CPCI because of our unwavering commitment to our mission. In 2015, CPCI’s professional medical staff delivered more than 4,000 free and confidential services to women experienc- ing an unplanned or unwanted pregnancy. Services ranged from pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, counseling and material assis- tance to pre-natal and life skills classes. Spring2016

Message from the CEO A world of infinite possibilities opens when a child is conceived and enters the world.

In 2015, CPCI’s professional medical staff delivered more than 4,000 free and confidential services to women experienc-ing an unplanned or unwanted pregnancy. Services ranged from pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, counseling and material assis-tance to pre-natal and life skills classes.

These women came to CPCI feeling overwhelmed by their cir-cumstances until our profession-al staff helped them understand there are resources available to support them in a decision for life for their babies. In 2015, CPCI saved 1,201 babies from

Life Saver Event 2016 a major success for CPCICPCI’s annual Life Saver event at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point on March 2, 2016 was attended by more than 400 CPCI Life Savers and their guests who gave a standing ovation for keynote speaker Laura Ingraham. A nationally syndicated radio host and best-selling author, Ingraham is considered to be the most listened-to woman in conservative talk radio in the United States. Her Laura Ingraham Show is heard on hundreds of stations nationwide. She is a regular FOX News contributor and #1 New York Times bestselling author of five books.

Ingraham lives in the Washington, D.C. area with her three adopted children. She spoke from the heart as she conveyed her discussion with one of her daughters that the life of every child in the womb should be protected. She described her young daughter’s dismay that anyone would ever consider not protecting a baby.

“Local victories by groups like CPCI are great signs of light and great signs of hope. When I look at the number of babies saved by CPCI in just 2015, my heart stops. The ultrasound shows the truth,” Ingraham noted. “God didn’t put us on this earth to lose a battle like this. He put us here to win. I hope you are here tonight to reaffirm what is right…life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We can’t have happiness without life. Imagine the lives that will come from supporting a group like CPCI.”

Become a CPCI Life Saver! If you haven’t already become a CPCI Life Saver, please consider joining this wonderful group of CPCI supporters. While each and every donation to CPCI in any amount is important to our work, imagine knowing that your donation of $720 saves a baby! Why $720? It takes that amount to provide the services and resources necessary for CPCI to save a baby, far below the national average of $1,200. If you wish, your donation can be made via credit card, and paid over 12 monthly payments of $60. Life Savers are invited to CPCI’s annual Life Saver signature event. To learn more about the CPCI Life Saver program and how you can help, please call CPCI Development Director Dom Micillo at (239) 262-6381, or visit www.community4life.com.

CPCI welcomes Development DirectorDomenick (Dom) Micillo has joined CPCI as Director of Development. Originally from New York City, Dom is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy. He joins the CPCI team after transitioning to the private sector upon completion of a 28-year U.S. military career that included naval aviation, international diplomatic assignments and Special Operations. He also has been closely involved with the U.S. Naval Academy Foundation as a trustee, and gained significant protocol experience as a diplomat. He and his wife Terri are the proud parents of two young children. They live in Ave Maria, and are parishioners of the Ave Maria Quasi Parish. Dom is passionate about the pro-life cause, and has a strong desire to make a positive difference in the world.

The power of the Familial Ultrasound When a client’s partner or family members are advocating for abortion, there is nothing so powerful as inviting them to be present for a pregnancy ultrasound so that they can see the tiny new life, and welcome the child to the family. Upon experiencing this and learning there are services available to assist the mother, they are much more inclined to support her in making a decision for life.

The name in the following story has been changed to protect confidentiality.

Jeimy met with the CPCI staff saying, “I have to have an abortion. I’m too young. I’m just finishing college, and I haven’t been with my boyfriend that long. My parents will be so disappointed in me. My boyfriend told me he isn’t ready to be a father.“ CPCI staff reviewed all of the options with Jeimy, and then proceeded with an ultrasound. She silently watched the movements of her baby on the screen. When asked about her thoughts upon seeing the baby, she responded, “I don’t know. I have a lot to think about. I have to talk it over with my boyfriend.” We offered Jeimy a familial ultrasound so that her boyfriend could see his baby. She left the office without agreeing. Then, a few weeks later, she called and said her boyfriend had agreed to come in to see the baby. She added that they had told their parents and they wanted to join them. We made an appointment for the following morning. We had a crowded room that morning — two sets of grandparents and a now proud new mom and dad watched their baby on the ultrasound. Delighted laughter filled the room as the family watched the baby’s movements. As the happy family left the clinic, one of the new grandmothers noted, “What a wonderful place this is. Thank you for being there for Jeimy and the baby…and for us!”

Mobile Medical Clinic on the move to save livesCPCI’s new mobile medical clinic literally is taking CPCI’s life-affirming services to the streets. The mobile medical clinic is completely outfitted to provide free pregnancy tests, counseling and ultrasounds, and travels to areas near Planned Parenthood and abortion clinics. It enables our professional team to reach and assist women at their most critical moment of decision making for abortion or life for their unborn child. While CPCI is a quiet, non-confrontational presence at these locations, many of the women seeing the mobile medical clinic make a life-changing detour to speak to our professional team.

The mobile medical clinic also serves as a highly visible CPCI “billboard” to raise awareness of CPCI’s free, life-affirming counseling and medical services throughout the community. CPCI needs your financial support to pursue plans to expand our Southwest Florida outreach and services to include the Port Charlotte to Sarasota area.

Ultrasound donationThe Knights of Columbus St. Agnes Council #14202 presented CPCI with a new Ultrasound machine on March 18.

This generous gift will be immediately put to use as CPCI’s front line resource in our mission to save babies from abortion. Our heartfelt thanks go to our many friends at St. Agnes Catholic Church.

On March 13, CPCI was the honored guest at a very special baby shower. Six eighth grade girls from Ave Maria organized — on their own — a baby shower for CPCI clients. Approximately 50 guests attended at the home of one of the girls. CEO Gary Ingold gave a presentation on the work being done by CPCI, and gratefully accepted a minivan full of diapers, toys and other items for CPCI moms and babies. CPCI applauds these young ladies for joining with us in fostering a Culture of Life in our community.
