Home textile

“Tucked away in a quiet corner of time itself, in the deephinterlands of the legendary Himalayans, lies an elusive landoverflowing with hearty people and stunning beauty. A hiddenwonder that, until the 20th century, was virtually unknown to theoutside world.

Now, its substantial treasures have been slowly revealed tothose with enough spirit, bravery and respect to partake in itsunique locale and traditions.

This is Bhutan – where a shy kingdom’s inhibitions have finallydiminished and paradise yet remains within reach of humanity.”

By John S. Hamalian

Bhutanese Textiles represent a rich, complex and unique art form. They arerecognized for their abundance of color, sophistication and variation of patterns, and the intricate dyeing and weavingtechniques.

The weavers, who are mostlywomen, must not be seen merely ascreators of wealth but also as theinnovators and owners of artistic skillsdeveloped and nurtured over centuriesof time, from one generation to another.

This new Home Textiles Collection isa testimony of this mastered art.Realized by hands bound to the heart, itdiffuses a perfume of authenticity andsimplicity. It will enrich our interiors withtrue beauty, bringing home a touch ofBhutan, a privilege for true lovers ofexceptional textiles.

Chapter 1Rough & mineral

Using roughly texturedmaterials, mineral colors, an simpledesigns, this first chapter of theCollective Collection is inspired bythe spirit of the highlands tribes, ina far remote part of Bhutan.

There, the sky is so close thatone can touch the clouds. Theancestral forests are shrouded inmystery and the rivers forcefullycarve the valleys, while the windcaresses the holy flags.

The force of nature is powerfuland omnipresent, one can beisolated, yet connected to therhythm of nature.
