CREW San Antonio
22016 YEAR IN REVIEW
I am so proud to have served as President of CREW San Antonio this year; however, it was the committee directors that made your board and 2016 a great year. Having read our mission statement time and again helped me ensure that the board stayed true to our mission, and I can honestly say CREW San Antonio is an organization that promotes women who are professionals in the commercial real estate industry. The board and its members strive to provide additional opportunities and advancement through education, networking, recognition and leadership. I have a debt of gratitude to the many leaders of CREW San Antonio that came before me who worked so hard to make this a highly regarded chapter both locally and nationally.
The implementation of the “One Ask” Sponsorship program elevated the financial soundness of our organization and together with our outstanding events: Forum, Movie Night and CREWtini,
we experienced a record breaking year including awarding 12 scholarships to leadership summits and convention. Another great success was the ability to make an initial contribution to a newly established UTSA-CREW Graduate Program commencing in 2017, as well as meeting the national Foundation challenge supporting scholarships for young women on a national level.
While the Norris Conference Center enhanced our networking opportunities, we look forward to raising the bar in 2017 with a return to the Oak Hills Country Club. Our Programs committee has 2017 planned with fresh, relevant programs while our Membership committee is searching for those c-suite new members that will keep CREW-San Antonio at the forefront of networking organizations.
It has been an honor to serve as President of this outstanding organization. Thank you for the opportunity. Please take a few moments to review all of our accomplishments this year and consider how you can be more involved in the year to come as I pass the gavel to Brandey Wimberley Orsag, your 2017 CREW San Antonio President.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Pyle Cheryl PylePresident, CREW San Antonio
