Welcome The University of Reading has a rich cultural heritage. From fine

art to film, music to museums, typography to traditional crafts,

For the first time, this June, we are delighted to host a celebration

that brings this activity together into one diverse programme,

with something for everyone to enjoy.

The programme will feature some of our already established

events, including the Museum of English Rural Life Village Fete

and the annual Summer Concert, and will also showcase student

work and performance from across the University.

We are also pleased to host a selection of special events such

as the Celebrating the sounds of the 60s concert (see page 6),

the Vice-Chancellor in conversation with Darren Henley,

Director of Classic FM (see page 19) and the Barbecue and

Big Band evening (see page 13).

We hope that this guide contains all of the information that

you need to make the most of our programme of arts events

throughout this celebration and we look forward to

welcoming you.
