A brindled light intertwined with a panoply of stars forms a canvas of crisp, sweet colours shining before

me.

Magnolia silhouettes shrouded by a rainbow of cloud; universal beauty trapped in a still frame.

A legacy created from the remains of the fallen star, engulfed by the shadow of endless oblivion.

My soul churns in happiness; a pain sharp yet satisfying.

My heart palpitates with a loud thud in my ear, echoing through the suit hugging me tight.

My legs fall weak with the pressure of no-gravity as I stumble across the dusty moon’s path.

Whether life exists outside of Earth; this is something that I will now find out myself. Kyra Te Kani

Stars and planets within our solar system.

The Southern Cross, from our flag, hidden within the other stars.

The crumbs and cracks of rocks moving upon planets in complete silence.

The planets and stars hovering above the sun in silence.

The power from the super nova explosion that collapsed from too much power.

The silent crash of meteors in the distance.

I wonder if there’s another liveable planet, other humans or aliens out in the pitch black of space within

another galaxy – just like ours. Xavier Montgomery

A gleam of breathless fantasy alive in many galaxies.

Many colours burst with personality in their own way. Ripples. Streams of murky dust.

Silence beneath.

Silence but alive.

Breathless with no air.

Reach to touch the planets beneath the clouds.

Feel the fantasy within.

How is this world so alive?

Holly Harris

Adrenaline pumps and beats in my veins. Cold, crisp air brushes against my face as we hear “5. 4. 3. 2 …”.

Toes tingling as our craft reaches its final destination; my heart shatters with the beauty.

Meteors audaciously swoon through the burning heart of the Scorpion; recklessly edging closer and closer towards their

final moment in time.

Fleeting signs of Aurora captured inside his path as the fingers of gas innocently pleaing for life.

Dimming signs of light as the back of my head is imprison my desire; knowing there’s no longer life left. I listen.

Expressions and hand movements talk to me as we venture further and further left to the brindle signs of hope.

How is space so beautiful? Jahko Tohaia

All of the stars and planets gracefully rotate around every hour and me.

The stars connect together to make different star signs.

The mystical sounds in space are lost in the depths of the Milky Way, Black Holes and Nothing.

The echo of silence fills the emptiness of space.

The vibration of the planets shaking dramatically when enormous asteroids collide.

The clash of Meteor vs Earth.

Is the multi-verse theory true? Aaron Martin

Peaceful colours floating through a void of darkness. Eyes peeking through that are as round as marbles –

but planets.

Sparkly fingers of gas floating in a ring of fire sitting around the marble.

The Black Hole of darkness hides another galaxy for sparkly planets and stars.

Stars are a portal key to open a galaxy of colours.

The air is closing up inside as hard as fire and gas burning them to shreds.

Space feels like swimming through a sea of gas and planets made of colours.

Would the void of darkness lead somewhere even more amazing and different than this galaxy?

Tayla Dougherty

The mysterious moon floating above; circling around and creating a path of shadow.

Twinkling stars shining so bright; surrounding the beat of the red-hearted scorpion.

Exploding sounds of nothing bust through the gas cloud; rising to the surface to escape the bubble of

death.

Silence travelling through the rainbow of planets.

The gleam of beauty shines upon me.

Gloomy emotions breathlessly surround me.

The differences between everything in space. Hayley Wallace

The sparkling sapphire space clouds form portals to different worlds.

Supernova stars self-destructing into a bouquet of ruby, violet and garnet.

Shockwaves vibrate with green, lilac, purple and happy feelings through space.

Solar flares bubble red and sunset orange; such a beautiful sight.

The Earth shakes with the threat of Supa Nova.

Huge vacuum action from the Black Hole.

Light! I can’t breathe from the excitement.

Why does space have such beauty bestowed upon itself? TeAtarua Kidwell

Here we see the Milky Way shining.

All these planets are spinning in this cold universe.

Planets rumbling and super charged stars shooting.

The asteroids crashing and exploding almost breaking parts of planets and destroying others.

Emotions of the planets singing to the emptiness of space.

Stars shooting across the universe shining bright.

I wonder when humans will travel through the universe to Mars? Reuben Martin

In the distance of the far off bright galaxies;

The colourful decorations of the gases shine.

Pluto still exists as a planet.

The colour in space is made from gas.

Deep, deep colours of space within galaxies.

Shallow light with pieces of meteors dropping.

Space – will it ever have air? Mitchell Sparrow

Those shimmering stars glimmering all these years; people may think they get old and die with a big boom.

All those galaxies! Wow! They sure must be exhausted holding all those planets and stars.

In space you can’t hear anything. It’s like being in a sound proof room – you can’t hear anything.

The cold feeling of what once was part of an asteroid sends shivers down my spine. It makes me think it

must be lonely without the rest of your body.

How does the universe hold over 300,000 galaxies? I holds pretty things like marble planets; ice rings;

asteroids and many other pretty things. Molly Sykes

Far in the distance Neptune shines as blue as the ocean.

Black, dark holes lead to other worlds.

Mind blowing scenery of the Milky Way just sitting alone in space.

We should be able to see these beautiful constellations.

The green and red planets should be left alone with their kind.

I wonder if other planets have life like our nice world? Liam Booker

The unique constellations in all their shapes and sizes.

The exotic stars lighting up the darkness.

The Milky Way leading my curious eyes straight towards Scorpions heart.

When will the first astronaut discover the secrets of Mars?

Pressure envelopes me as I am drawn back to Earth.

Witness the beauty of space.

Will I have the stamina to be an astronaut? Harlym O’Keefe

I see stars making colours in the sky?

I see the shape that the stars make in the sky.

Black holes spinning really fast sucking up old bits of metal.

Planets going around very slowly far off in the distance.

Meteors floating around in space when they go fast on Earth.

I feel myself floating in space and I can’t touch the ground.

I wonder if space buggies work on batteries and if they all have a video camera? Noah Kersten

Steaming gas bubbling through the surface of Venus.

Stars shimmering in the dark night sky.

Silence creeping through the dusty floor on Mars.

Scorpions blood red heart pounding.

The glimmering beauty shining upon me.

I wonder if there will ever be kids giggling around the dusty red floor of Mars?

I wonder if our future lies on Mars. Jessica Scott

Colours and swirly shapes being sucked into black holes turning into nothing.

The whole world under my feet.

Nothing but my own head thinking.

There’s aliens on other planets?

I’m flying but I’m going nowhere.

I feel like floating all around the planets.

If I could float around the whole world and still be alive … Keira Rush

The colours shine with shimmering stars.

I see a pitch black hole of death spiralling like it is calling me.

I think of me being torn down by something as deathly as a thousand snapping sharks.

If one day people will be able to travel through black holes.

I feel just like I am floating and I am about to go face-to-face with death itself.

My nerves make me feel like my bones are crumbling.

I wonder where you go when you go into a black hole? Montanna Griffin

Planets floating the black of space.

Colours merging through the milky way.

Bright shiny stars filling the dark sky.

The sound of silence rings loud in the middle of the dangerous red spot.

I feel like a tiny ant compared to the size of space.

Far off in the distance I can see the red Scorpion.

I can see the four stars that join together to make a Southern Cross.

I hear the heartbeat of the cherry-red hearted scorpion.

I hear dead silence in my head as I stare up at the stars.

I feel sleepy as I watch the stars and the rose light.

I feel scared watching the astronauts in the space ship.

I wonder if there is life on other planets or if anyone is going to live on Mars? Alex Holtham

I see shiny, sparkly stars looking upon us. I see the seven sisters of Matariki sparkling.

I see the red heart of the scorpion beating fast as a rocket.

I see the astronauts seeing the wonderful life in space. I see the constellation sparkling like Christmas

lights.

I hear the beating heart of the scorpion heart. I hear the quietness of space. I here laughter coming

from the seven sisters.

I hear planets spinning everywhere and fear the meteors floating around.

I feel the heart beating of the seven sisters. I feel meteors crashing over each other. I feel the black

hole sucking things in.

I feel stars shooting as fast as a bullet. I feel the heat of the sun heating our Earth.

I wonder if I will ever get another chance to see our Earth. Tamaroa Mahuta
