A revision has separated AS 1668 – The use of ventilation and air conditioning in buildings into two parts: • AS 1668.2 – Mechanical ventilation of buildings • AS 1668.4 – Natural ventilation of buildings The Standards Australia committee has prepared the documents for consideration by the Australian Building Codes Board for adoption in to the National Construction Code. He is chair of the sub- committees responsible for Fire and smoke control in multi- compartment buildings, Fire dampers, and Maintenance of fire and smoke control features of mechanical services. Simon has been involved in contracting, design and engineering management in the air conditioning industry for close to 40 years and has delivered seminars and training for AIRAH related to AS 1668.1 and AS 1668.2 since 1991.
