Elektronische Komponenten von Melecs findet man bei Steuergeräten und LED-Anwendungen in Autos interna-tionaler Premium-Hersteller ebenso wie in Haushaltsgeräten des europäischen Marktführers. Neben maßgeschneiderten Produkten und Lösungen für die Bereiche Automotive, Lighting und White Goods entwickelt und produziert Melecs auch Elektronikbaugruppen und ganzheitliche Lösungen einschließlich Gerätemontage für den Bereich Industrie-Elektronik, wie etwa Steuerungen für Rolltreppen oder energieeffiziente Heizungsanlagen.Über 90 Prozent des Umsatzes von Melecs werden mit Kunden außerhalb Österreichs erzielt. In der hoch automa-tisierten Fertigung der Elektronikwerke in Siegendorf/Österreich und in Györ/Ungarn werden elektronische Baugrup-pen und Geräte in mittleren und hohen Stückzahlen produziert. Für Low-Volume/High-Mix Anforderungen verfügen wir mit dem Werk in Lenzing/Österreich über ein Kompetenzzentrum für Industriean-wendungen. Für die Betreuung globaler Kunden produzieren wir seit 2016 in ei-nem neu errichteten Werk in Wuxi/China. 2018 erfolgt mit der Neueröffnung eines eigenen Verkaufsbüros in Auburn Hills/Michigan der Markteintritt in Nordamerika.

Electronic components of Melecscan be found in cars of international premium manufacturers (ECUs and LED applications) as well as in household ap-pliances of the European market leader. In addition to custom-tailored products for the automotive and lighting indus-try and for white goods manufacturers, Melecs develops and produces electronic assemblies and integrated solutions, including equipment assembly for the in-dustrial sector, such as escalator controls or energy-efficient heating systems. Over 90 percent of the sales of Melecs are achieved from customers outside of Aus-tria. At the highly automated electronics production lines in Siegendorf/Austria and Györ/Hungary, medium to large numbers of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies and electronic devices are produced. With our site in Lenzing/Austria we have a center of excellence for industrial applications and low-volume/high-mix requirements. Since 2016, we have been producing for global customers in a newly built factory in Wuxi/China. In 2018, the opening of a new sales office in Auburn Hills, Michigan will open the market in North America.

Die Entwicklungsabteilung von Melecs designt und realisiert kosteneffiziente und maßgeschneiderte Kundenlösungen, die in enger Zusammenarbeit mit der Pro-duktion industrialisiert werden. So etwa in den Bereichen Allradgetriebesteue-rungen im Powertrain, DLP-Technologie und LED Beleuchtung an Fahrzeugen: In allen Bereichen wurden durch innovative Lösungen wesentliche Kostenvorteile erreicht. Der Einsatz von elektrischen, me-chanischen und thermischen Simulationen bereits in der Konzeptphase konnte die Kunden von Melecs überzeugen. In der Entwicklung sind alle benötigten Bereiche von Hardwareentwicklung, Konstruktion, PCB Layout, Software- und Firmwareent-wicklung, Umweltzertifizierung bis Test Engineering inkl. B-Musterprüfung vor-handen. Ein Safety- und Requirement Ma-nagement erlaubt Melecs die Entwicklung von Steuergeräten nach den strengen ASIL Sicherheitsrichtlinien. Innerhalb der Entwicklung sind auch Bauteilmanage-ment und Einkaufsfunktionen angesiedelt. Dadurch ergeben sich kurze Entschei-dungswege bei Neuprodukten und Flexi-bilität bei laufenden Projekten. Zahlreiche Patente sind Ausdruck des spezifischen Know-Hows der Melecs Entwickler.

The Melecs development department designs and implements cost-effective and customized solutions, that are industrialized in close collaboration with the production team. Melecs relies on innovative solutions tailored specifically to its customers. For example, in the areas of all-wheel drive ECUs (Electronic Control Units) in the powertrain, DLP technology and LED lighting in vehicles: In all of these areas, significant cost advantages have been achieved through innovative solu-tions.The use of electrical, mechanical and thermal simulations during the concept phase is another feature that is appreci-ated by the customers of Melecs. The development process encompasses all of the aspects of hardware develop-ment, design, PCB layout, software/firmware development and environmental certification as well as test engineering, including pre-production prototype test-ing. A safety and requirement manage-ment system allows Melecs to develop controllers according to the strict ASIL safety criteria. Parts management and purchasing activities are also included in the development process. This results in short decision paths for new products and flexibility in ongoing projects. Numerous patents attest to the specific know-how of the Melecs developers.

Ein eigenes Testlabor am Standort in Györ ermöglicht Melecs EWS eine schnelle und zuverlässige Prüfung von Produkten in der Produktentwicklung, Produkt-Validierung und Massenproduktion. Die Testaktivi-täten sind direkt in den Produktentwick-lungsprozess eingebunden. Das eigene Testlabor bietet hohe Flexibilität und damit eine Verkürzung der Entwicklungsdurch-laufzeiten.

With its own testing laboratory in Györ, Melecs EWS is capable of rapidly and reliably testing products during product development, product validation and mass production. The testing activities are integrated directly into the product deve-lopment process. The in-house testing laboratory offers high flexibility, which in turn results in shorter development times.
